If you have puck possession and move your feet you draw penalties. When you’re chasing the puck / play you take penalties.

Teams objectively play better when they know they have a reliable guy in net

It makes a lot of sense from a metal stand standpoint

Yes, I have acknowledged this as his biggest weakness. He does have a lot of physical tools though, very athletic. He hasn't been in the league all that long, we don't know if he can fix that or not. I do think he's working from a deficit however.
