Edmonton

He can also do that.

Really? That's what you got from that clip?

Bouchard looked like a clown.

He got beat by one of the fastest skaters in the game. It happens. Especially when you play 25 minutes a game against said league’s best.

The only people that look like clowns are know-nothings that don’t add to any conversations aside from mudslinging and stupidity.

Trading Evan Bouchard would be a top 3 biggest mistake in this franchise‘s history, and we have done a LOT of dumb shit.

Fun fact. When we traded Taylor Hall for Adam Larsson, he was the same age as Broberg is now.
Hm. I was thinking of adding Larsson but saw he had 5 Devils seasons under his belt before the trade. A bit more than these other guys. But with his age, it makes sense to add him.

Gibson with 43 saves and posts a 0.956 tonight. Now 2.57 GAA and 0.919%

He is now 4-1 (he has four 900+ starts out of 5 games). 950,900,906, 956

Seattle with 5 PP's tonight. Dostal is playing great, but ANA gets bombarded most games. I can see both goalies obviously trend downwards there.
-----------------------------------

Anaheim allows the 3rd most HDC per game all strengths. Edmonton allows the LEAST in the NHL at all strengths

Skinner has played 15 games. He has seven 900+ starts. Less than 50%. I would be happy if Skinner could go 6/10 games with a 900+.
--------------

My prediction. Colorado trades for him with retention.

I think Colorado would love him, but their cap structure is even worse then ours with their LTIRs returning midseason. I guess with double retention, but that wouldn't be cheap. 3.2 mill, for more than 1 season as well mind you ,is a tough fit for up against the cap teams like us and Colorado. :(

Still think it might be a little to early to call Broberg a success for sure, tho I admit he was trending well in the short sample size before his injury. His talent for getting injured might derail an otherwise promising career. Interesting list though.

If he's becomes a career NHL defenceman, it's enough to call it a success with this list. Like Smid didn't exactly kill it, but he was a servicable D-man for us and played Top 4 minutes. Considering what we saw of Broberg in the Playoffs and to start this year, I think it's safe to call him atleast a top 4 D in this League but he's trending more to a number 2 guy.

I'd take the analytics much more seriously than some of the idiot takes going on around here saying Bouchard should be scratched or traded.

There is no hockey bible and sometimes analytics get it wrong - but fans get it wrong way more, especially when it comes to a guy like Bouchard.
Still waiting on a reply to this bud?

You credit Eichel with a McDavidesque play here?

Watch the play dude. Bouchard is still focused on the boards. Now watch the winger(or center). They want to dart for the trailing winger but abandon that plan once they realize Bouchard FAILED to get into his own assignment. Unlike your version of events that Eichel "blew past him like McDavid", NO. Eichel had a free lane cuz Bouchard didn't react till AFTER Eichel was past him.

I have praised Bouchard over and over with his timely pinches. Bouchard also gets bailed out alot with these pinches mostly by Ekholm who understands when he's doing them, or a forward who darts back while Bouch makes sure he rubs out the guy on the boards to not ensure a breakaway or a slip past him, which are good plays

But this play was BETWEEN all that, where he wasn't close enough to pinch and was indeed back enough to cover his assignment. He literally got confused here and you can rightfully see that by his teammate who wanted to cut to the guy on the boards but then realized Bouch was in no man's land......again!!

Yet somehow your quest for "analytics" wants to praise him and credit Eichel with this play??

FYI, the play against TO that he got called LAZY.....i defended him. It was nowhere near a lazy play . It was a good IQ in that particular moment...to recognize Ekholm had the better step and he dropped to cover the front of the net

However, just like this Vegas play......Bouchard assumed SOMEBODY else should cover him. He made a poor pinch and in the EXACT same spot, was SUPER SLOW to RECOGNIZE his role in the play. He didn't even start hustling till the play was past him.

You don't need analytics to breakdown plays bud, and you surely don't need to tell ppl they pick favorites or understand hockey cuz they don't interpret "analytics" and understand hockey like you do b/c you have Natrural Stat Trick saved as a bookmark LMAO

I think they think Philp is really close just cleaning some things up in the defensive zone and getting playing time. I suspect he gets a big cup after the New Year.
Rodrigue has been so slow to learn. He doesn't adapt quickly.
Right now Hofenmeyer is playing. Savoie got 1 shot on net last night to D'amato's 4.

Your Judging on the Holland era and the past. This is now Jackson/Bowman era. And it scares me a bit cause they might say like you ....lets see what we got in this guy or that guy.
Neither Jackson or Bowman ever played. They are executives first and it scares me.
Just an fyi, that Jackson did indeed play in the NHL for about 8-9 yrs (1984-1992). But I get what you are saying.
