It's not really about that though. He has to put the work in and fix his own tracking, nobody else can do it. Besides working him in all the usual hand-eye stuff and trying to get him into as many game-simulating drills as possible, the team can't really do too much,

Torenius worked well with Shesterkin before, even without Clark the coaching isn't an issue IMO especially as Clark has become more and more out of touch with the NHL game.

What the team can actually do to develop SIlovs is to play good defence in front of him. That will give him time to get used to the NHL game and having to adjust game to game to different teams instead of seeing the same guys over and over until the series is over.

This is a team that's supposed to be defence first, it's pathetic that they keep performing like this and even more pathetic that they're too lazy to show up in front of a rookie goalie. AND that they keep not showing up when he starts.
They're going to have to change his game if he wants to be an NHL goaltender.

Yeah there's been no calls when there should have been - but let's be real, the Canucks JUST started playing with hustle being down 5-1. They need to be better from the get go and keep skating - this is all on them. The good thing is they haven't let off the gas pedal and they have 20 minutes to showcase that Pittsburgh ain't shit

I don’t want to see Soucy and Juulsen for the rest of the game.

Just ride Hughes Hronek Brannstrom and a bit of Myers..
Myers hasn't been good, with about 5 minutes to go he pointed for his partner to cover the other side and didn't notice it had been put into his corner. The opposing forward had almost walked in front of the net by the time he spun around with all the grace of an oil tanker and noticed.

He is literally just standing around out there, and he's doing it a lot. Add to this his usual tendency to make poor decisions and he's been every bit as bad as Soucy. Arguably more so with his gaffes when the game is on the line.

It's hilarious that people were like "oh we can't bring back Cole, he's too old" when Myers is only a year younger. As I said in the off-season, the chances of his play just falling off (another, lower) cliff is high. IMO we're watching it happen in real time. And he drags down any pair he's on, which is not a surprise but it's getting worse than usual.

Chris Osgood had the same problem until the Wings fixed it. He became a beast after that. The thing is I don't know if the Canucks have the talent to be able to apply this fix.
Osgood also played behind someone of the most stacked wings teams of all time. You can’t build teams like that anymore. Hall of famers galore

He still was a sieve. The way the fixed it is that that they took away his glove and had him use his body to position it at on coming shots.

We got fooled by Myers in a contract year. 1 good year in 5 should of been all of the proof Allvin needed. This year it's right back where things started in Vancouver for Myers.

Allvin made a major mistake focusing on the forward group in the offseason rather than getting a 3, 4, defenseman.

I remember him being like this in the first half of last season but Demko was in god mode so it didn't kill us

Game is too fast for that strategy now, I do suspect SIlov's tracking will never rise to the level of an NHL starter but he's so early in the number of pro games played that I think it's too way too soon to make a definite conclusion. Again, the team sucking in front of him doesn't help.
