That was wonderful but ugly. Was like a Travis Green wet dream of a game. If games like that become a trend it's a problem but over the course of a season you want to have your goalie steal a few games.

Team did compete hard, blocked lots of shots, kept things to the outside for most of the first 40 minutes at least.

Pettersson line was fantastic against Ottawa and then got utterly caved tonight. Did manage to hold it together defensively in some tough spots in the 3rd but that was an ugly game for them.

Garland and Joshua were probably the best forwards. Thought Raty had a pretty good game outside of one poor turnover when he mishandled a puck.

Boeser looked tentative, not surprisingly.

All 6 D needed to have solid games. Hronek was our best skater, easily.

PK was really strong.

Lankinen just fantastic. As good of a goaltending performance as you'll ever see. Just looked absolutely zoned tonight.

To be 2-0 to start this road trip after the Hughes thing in Ottawa and the way this game went feels very fortuitous. Nice opportunity for a really good trip now, at a point where the team was really wobbling heading into this trip.

Getting outshot 2.5 to 1 is never a good strategy.

It was maybe yesterday on the radio, guest of Halford and Brough I believe who said the Bruins lack goalscorers other than Pasta.

And just give the MVP to Lankinen already. Team would be screwed without him.

Boeser

Are people happier with this distribution of goals, or would you prefer 1 or 2 really dominant scorers?
