So Chuck or ASF are blatant liars,, one of them is scum
Chuck Fletcher is not allowed to say anything on the matter. He can’t say that they discussed a back room deal about bringing him back. That’s not a thing that’s allowed.

It’s done but even Chuck is smart enough to not say it openly.

The trade is even more hilarious when you remember they have Konecny and Atkinson at RW in the Top 6 plus Allison who is way better than Tippett in the AHL and their top 2 forward prospects are Brink and Foerster - both RW's

So what's your excuse on why all of those leaks are acceptable?
We have no idea where Zito got his information, it may not even be leaks, it may simply be his contacts around the league telling him that the Flyers didn't accept offers he knew were better than what he was willing to give. And he could have garnered that from the internet as well. And putting 2 and 2 together.

Or Zito had other options and simply gave Fletcher a "take it or leave it" offer, figuring if Fletcher rejected he'd go elsewhere, and if Fletcher started negotiating, G had tied his hands.

No idea in this case but most leaks come from either the other team or agents.
Again, how did the other team ever know anything? And why would G's agent leak anyyhing.

The answer is obvious if you just open your eyes. But you refuse to see it because that would involve agreeing with the masses. And that goes against what you do.

I know you don't care about this any more than I do, but you are making yourself look incredibly foolish.

They’re flying by the seat of their pants. They don’t have a coherent/sensible plan. They basically decided to re-sign Ristolainen based off of the Washington game. In doing so they dug themselves even further into cap trouble for this summer. Not to mention they somehow think they can turn this thing around this summer despite their lack of resources & a roster that just got noticeably worse without Giroux here.

We’re back to the robbing Peter to pay Paul days of Flyers management. Where every decision is made in the moment. We’ll deal with ever likely fallout later instead of trying to mitigate that in the now.

I will say I don't get this whole "he's earned this right" thing. The dude got paid and signed a NMC. The organization also had the right to not trade. Clearly Fletcher valued enough of that distant 1st (that player is likely bare minimum 4 years away) and Owen Tippett to make the trade. From all accounts Owen Tippett is essentially worthless. Seems they could have taken a pick instead or a younger player with a lower draft pedigree.

The key difference here between Tippett and Frost? Frost is an already sunken cost.

This is just another feather in the cap that illustrates Fletcher's incompetence.

If Giroux somehow comes back through all this, signs a bargain-bin contract, then he needs a statue.

That's just an unreal amount of loyalty.

Uh, Tippett is the same age as Allison LAST season.
12g 4-5 9 at ES, 7 assists on the PP (guess he can pass the puck?) - Allison last year 10g 4-3 7 at ES

two years ago, at 20 years old:
46g 12-14 26 at ES

So Tippett has been as good or better than Allison in the AHL.
