I didn't read the article but he turns 41 for the upcoming season. I think somebody needs to set some expectations for him.

But I'm sure if he's willing to accept league min again some team might bite.

I would like to play a few more years too!

Only my wife doesn't have any interest in letting me do so; and I doubt there are any other women out there who do either!

I mean if he wants to uproot his life for one year at league minimum he'll probably find 1-3 teams willing to sign him. Absolute max of two years at minimum though. Is it worth it? Maybe he still has the drive & willingness to do that. Personally I'd say thanks for all the memories & hang them up ... but maybe that's why I'm not playing at a high level (well, that & the complete lack of talent thing...)

I'm sure he would do well in the Swiss or German leagues. But his NHL time was over 1-2 years ago.

Why can’t players just give it up? He has been in the league since 2005! Spend time with family. No commitment to the daily regiment of a pro athlete. Plus he just isn’t very good anymore. I don’t get it.

I thought this was going to be one of those click bait headlines where "wants to play a few more years" would be the lead in to a story about his wife or his parents being European or something and him wanting to play over there for a few years.
