Ottawa had 2 cracks at him at 28 and 33.. took Greig and Jarventie.. :dunno:

I remember saying at 33 when the Sens took Jarventie watch Peterka go right after.

I was really high on Peterka pre-draft when I thought the Oilers would be picking in the low-mid 20s. I had some posts on him over at HFOil. His tape was good, he’s a physical player as well. Strong skater, good passer. He’s a pretty complete player.

damn it, they're using up all of the bounces of the whole tournament in one game.

Completely different game than the first one. No structure, no defense, no goaltending, just full speed action back and forth. Will be interesting to watch the 3rd game.

...and on and on. Lol. Games really couldn't be any more different:laugh:

Another weak goal by the German goalie.

4-2 Niemala with the goal.

Nice!

I am loving all the Leaf pics so far in the tournament.

With how much we paid some of our players thank goodness we draft well.

I finally found a stream for the game the German tender is not playing well.

Somewhere in Quebec.
Fins very underwhelming, Germans coach not teaching them the Dzone. Honestly if they had a full bench and more luck I think 3-2 is the score.

the Germans are closer than we think, some talent but god awful coaching and structure.

He’s let in some soft ones, Kokkonen got an assist of his shot from the point earlier as well. He’s one of your guys prospects.

Kokkonen was pretty good against the Americans as well I thought.

If they put some money into their hockey program and get proper coaches, then there is no reason they shouldn’t be a mid major hockey power routinely in the top group.

They’ll have to surpass Slovakia and Switzerland consistently for that to happen.

Yep, Peterka has been good. Better than Stutzle so far. This German team would've had a decent chance against Finland in this game if they would've had their first goalie and Seider in the team. Almost 40-60 or something, because I´m not impressed of Team Finland in this game.

Järventie and Simontaival are disappointments for me this far. Not seeing any top6 potential in the NHL yet, far from it. Hirvonen is nothing special either, at least not yet. I thought he would be a bit more remarkable or something.
Viro, what can you say... Were those TPS D`s really better than Määttä, Jurmo, Malinen, Rajaniemi or even Loponen and Vilén? I´m actually a bit surprised and confused seeing these two TPS guys and their performances so far, especially Viro. In a negative way, sadly.
