Somewhere in Quebec.
If they put some money into their hockey program and get proper coaches, then there is no reason they shouldn’t be a mid major hockey power routinely in the top group.

They’ll have to surpass Slovakia and Switzerland consistently for that to happen.
I would argue that right now they’re ahead of the Swiss and Slovaks at the youth level. At the very least more high end guys coming through then Slovaks and Swiss rn, but Swiss more debatable. Slovaks have fallen off a cliff, they’re still better at the senior level, but at the youth level it’s getting iffy...
I haven’t looked into it, but from what I know a guy from Canada with a decent youth background here can find work there. I know a couple of guys who coached high youth here and went to France and are living as coaches full time. There’s demand but who wants to relocate.

Hirvonen has been total idiot so far.
Two idiotic penalties ( 2+10min in first period and then 2min in 2nd period )
in this game and nothing else.

If Hirvonen really can't stay out of penalty box
then bench him for couple games or something.

We don't have afford to take idiotic penalties every single game
if we wanna go far in this tournament.

The first one was really questionable, no f***ing way worth 10 min

TSN guys whining about luck. When a team outshoots another team 30-10 they’ll get some bounces.
Nothing new. Hopefully sticks are better this year so it's not 2019 all over again.

Also people jumping to big conclusions after 2 periods. Finland is playing as well as it's needed right now. This group stage is a joke anyways, let's see when the real games start.

On my view stock has gone up on Peterka, Lambert and Niemela (I didn't know his skating was this sharp), stayed in place for Stuzzle, Lumdell, Heinola and Kokkonen and gone down for Simontaival and Viro. Additonally Helenius looks like a giant out there and has played his size and Lube who I have not seen before seems to have some good talent.

I think Germany’s a sleeping giant when it comes to hockey. It’s one of the largest countries in Europe. It’s one of the most financially stable countries in Europe. And Germany routinely has excellent showings in the Winter Olympics. So they have a lot of talent, money, and facilities.

Weak or not but still Hirvonen should be much smarter
and not give a chance for referee to even call a penalty.

But yeah that Germane player shouldn't have turned his back to the game.
If players keep going that every game then some point
someone will get hurt when player like Samuel Helenius tries hit a player.

Big letdowns for me this early: Viro, Hirvonen, Järventie, Simontaival.
Smaller letdowns: Rafkin, Aku, Petman, Mäntykivi, perhaps even Hatakka and Puutio to be honest.

Well, that's plenty of players. Either the skill or IQ is not there this year or Pennanen hasn't got the guys started yet.

I´m missing Aatu and Miettinen for sure. Even Puistola and Tieksola. Perhaps a skilled D like Malinen (compared to Viro at least), or why not a secure D like Määttä.

Niemelä will become good, impressed. It looks easy for him.

He’s let in some soft ones, Kokkonen got an assist of his shot from the point earlier as well. He’s one of your guys prospects.

Kokkonen was pretty good against the Americans as well I thought.

Yeah agreed fully.

Not the best game at all from the tender. I have been happy with both those D picks and Hirvonen. I am pumped to watch Amirov with Russia tonight.

I also really wanted Robertson to play for the USA but I get that the Leafs wanted to hold him out for camp.

I think the Russia vs USA game should be great tonight!

Brad's linemates can't hold on to the puck for a split second even, put him on with Lundell.

I guess I'm agreeing with you now. Tieksola, Miettinen and Aatu are probably much better than many on this roster. I´m even missing Puistola and Saarela.

You're like a broken record. None of them are in the team and won't be.
