Good for Germany, if they start getting some players back they migth make a little bit of noice. I can't imagine the Canada game will be much fun tomorrow but, after that, they can go on a run.

We Germans can be pretty statisfied with this game considering the circumstances. It's not only being shorthanded during the game, its also the fact that the team wasn't able to practice before this. Tomorrow will most likely be a beatdown, but I am hopeful that we can reach quarters even with everything that is going on.

Yes his got elite skill, but you gotta love his competitive spirit too. He brings some mean, which is going to very much fit in with BT’s style.
hope he learns how to reel it in a bit though or at least control it, that run he took where he hurt himself was pretty stupid

can't teach "caring" though, so it's good that he has that in spades

Didn't quite get to see as much as the 3rd as I wanted to. I predicted 6-3 so 5-3 seems about right. Germany could have done without a bad goaltending and bad bounces

Stutzle is going to be a guy other players hate to play against. He’s got a bit of that hated part of Brad Marchand in him. Plus, he’s got the elite skill. And I still think we have yet to see him at his best. He’s got another gear to go.

This totally. Even in terms of a fit with DJ Smith, its a match made in heaven. He wants his players to battle. And Tim is like all compete all the time.

Im guessing that Tim and Brady are paired up together at some point and will be leaned on HEAVILY by coach Smith. And it will be a thing of glory.

Stuetzle seems like hes elite at getting passes through tight spots and to the net - which is where Brady is always going to be. And unlike a lot of the other young star duos, I dont see these two getting out worked or bullied very often. Seems like a perfect blend of size, skill, and in your face hockey.

As Leafs fan I must remind you that all 3 of our prospects played well.

So, reading the game recap on iihf.com I learned that the Senators picked Stützle #5 overall.

That's Dennis Beyak, the PBP guy for the Jets on TSN. You get used to it lol

I mean I'm a sens fan and we had Dean Brown until 2014... those last few years were painful... but in his case he would mix up jersey numbers because he was old... like he would constantly confuse Gonchar and Karlsson because they were 55 and 65 respectively.

Half a team Germany kept it close? How is Finlands prospect pool?
3 lines after a long break is not totally awful, since its not like they had played before and got tired. I expect Germany have a much more toruble today,

Finland team is decent, but not that much depth.

Well a win is a win! I was trolling a bit, you Finns need to be trolled. Build up some hate you know. :D

Swedes the same, some really good players, but maybe not the deepest.

Lambert looked a bit like McDavid huh? Gets the puck and no one seemed to be able to touch him when he got going.

Yup. He looks little bit like McDavid. He skating style is similar. Currently just isn't as fast and he is smaller, but every Time is watch him play he reminds me of McDavid

No it was because he wasn't very good!
