I hope Karhukissa is right on believing this Team Finland will win gold. Just can't see them winning against Russia, Sweden or USA in the quarters. If they don't step up their game BIG TIME.

Lol, Lafreniere is almost a tier above.

That's the general consensus, but it isn't out of the realm of possibility that Stutzle ends up the better player. Both players have loads of potential and at this stage anything is possible.

My picks

Standout player for Fins: Lambert
Hardest worker: Hirvonen

Standout player for the Germans: Stutzle
Hardest worker: Dubé

Lets wait a few games. There was potential and speed.

Disagree, have you even seen Wright? Lambert should be a surefire 2OA though.

I have and he is as great. I´m just biased and I love Lamberts strengths. If he grows a bit and becomes a bit stronger? Wow.

Yeah i hear you, but Wright is looking like a MackKinnon clone, hard to beat him in the draft.

Lambert and Heinola both looking like future NHL stars, especially Lambert.
I really like the dynamisme of Lambert's play. I'd like him to select his shot better to target the holes, looks to me there are a lot of shots on the goalie.

Maybe looking for rebound but how he plays is impressive, if his shot gets slightly better you got a star in the making...

Stutzle is just excellent... Ottawa's picks this year will likely jumpstart the concession...

I wish the Germans had a couple more talented players ... Reichel would be 1. ... Hung around .. one more late goal and they'd have a shot at it.

Happy with the performance. Caught myself dreaming of OT a few times hah.

I would take a 5-3 against Finland on Junior level even if half of our team wouldn’t be stuck in the hotel rooms or at home.

Tomorrow will be painful though but looking forward to the games against Switzerland and Slovakia.

No blitzkrieg (oops!) victory over Germany this time around. But a victory anyway. Way to go Finland!

Do you think A Strudel is going to be better than A Lafreniere? You are kidding right?

fudge would I love to have a Stutzle + Romanov + Norlinder + Harris in the d core...
Still don't think Strudel is an NHL centre,he's more likely to be a LWinger

I didn't say Stutzel WILL BE better. Someone else said he thinks Stutzle will be the best player in the draft, and I was just saying that it isn't a completely outlandish idea to suggest that maybe it is possible that when it is all said and done, Stutzel will end up the better player.
