Agree he looked bad. Most likely nervous as hell in his first game.

He shouldn't have made the team if he was just going to sit. Let's just say his market value at draft time is taking a big hit. I just want to see the kid play.
I don't agree with his draft stock taking a hit; however, I do agree with wanting to see him play.

Toronto, ON.
Especially when it's Panocha and Handel handling the puck.. a bit of coordinated pressure and they won't be able to deal with it. Letting them get comfortable.
Yeah that’s my main takeaway, wayyyyyy too passive on the PK. Treating these guys like they’re prime Makar and Mcdavid on the PP. swarm them and win some battles. And when you possess the puck, get it out!

I’ve never seen a Canada team look this bad in terms of special teams, specifically the PK.

This isn’t even a talent thing, having coached at a high level and worked with some NHLers and pros, this team has enough to win but there’s 0 cohesion. A good coach can mask our flaws and don’t get me wrong we are lacking some high end talent at the back, but what’s the identity here ? They don’t hit, they’re only a little aggressive on the forecheck and I mean they just don’t dominate the play. Hockey in Canada hasn’t regressed but man there’s some boggling coaching going on.

Cowan looks terrible and Nadeau is a ghost, I’m not sure why Martone is a skratch for a team that is sorely lacking creativity.

That being said, the Germans and Latvians have genuinely really improved, but either way, we just don’t look well coached.
I found Cowan and Nadeau to be the two of the most noticeable players last period outside of Mckenna. Are we watching a different game?

Agreed.

I baffles me they don’t hit a soul out there.

Well he ain't going first overall after this tourney that's for sure. He was billed as one of the guys to watch and I can't watch him. So...........call me annoyed by the coaching decision. Just silly that players get dressed just to sit on the bench.

He'll get the bust label if he doesn't step the f*** up, and it's tough to shake that once you've got it. Very few players have done it.
He might get the label by some posters on the board, but not in reality. He is currently having a very good tournament.
