Canada will be angry after loosing to an opponent they were supposed to beat easily. I am glad I can't watch this. 14:1 Canada

I'm sure it will be a blowout. But in the crazy off chance Germany keeps it close (or even wins?), could we see a mid tournament coaching replacement???

The passionate fans of Canada deserve better than Cameron.

I got burned bad for picking Canada to slaughter Latvia. However.. I say Canada 8 and Germany 0. They need to come out flying and set a time for rest of tourney. US next.

How are the lines looking? Cameron fix anything?
They've moved Beudoin up with Ritchie and Cowan and bumped Nadeau down to play with Yager and Howe. A guy like Rekhoph is now in the lineup but he's the 13th forward.

Sigh.

I mean, you watch a guy like Howe play and you wonder why he was even picked for this team, he's just there!! I can't see what he does at this level to help a team.

Yeah, as a person that thinks people typically overreact to marginal roster decisions, Canada's choices just feel odd this year. The most prolific goal scorers in the junior leagues were left at home. The best powerplay quarterback was left at home. A top 10 pick 6'4 righty DMan was left at home. Talented NCAA players were told they need not apply, other than if they already left to go play in the AHL and have been just ok there (Nadeau). And a kid like Easton Cowan with his OHL point streak gets the red carpet treatment to be the "man" to drive the team's offense, when he's "only" like 14th in the OHL in PPG playing on the most stacked team in the CHL. Then the bottom six and corresponding D feel like they were placed with actual grinders. Even if they come back to win Gold, it's just a very oddly constructed roster. Like they had some Junior salary cap they needed to comply with.

The dead horse has been beaten to a pulp but yeah...................strange choices clearly.

On the plus side it certainly will bring about some much needed mental clearance going forward.

Howe does nothing at all. He would be my forward scratched

Canada needs a bounce back game tonight. Poor Germany will likely suffer for it.

This meets Germany weaker. Finns think Germans win. Finland needs help from both Germany vs Canada and Canada vs USA. My tip might get in.

Germany finally scratches Kuhnhauser... Abstreiter felt the need to remove any thought his assistant might have of putting him out there. Rio Kaiser is the 7th d. German lineup is otherwise the same with Pertuch starting and Neisse backing up.
