That's what they said on Swedish television. I saw the link that said that he choose to stay in Sweden himself. The truth is most likely inbetween. Detroit advising him to stay and he felt like staying. If Detroit would've told him that it would be better for his development to go to the WJC, he would've gone.

Exactly. If Germany can bio-engineer a COVID vaccine... why can't they clone Draisaitl and make him U20? Fourteen players! Get with the program Germany!

So you want them to pass it around in the defensive zone? This is just such a bad take and anybody who played sports at a decently high level would understand. Doesn't matter how you want to word it, letting up or not trying to score is way more embarrassing for the other team.
 
f*** this is bad. Not blaming the Canadian players, they have to play and Germany insisted on playing today but Jesus Christ iihf, step in and put some regulation on this schedule when a team is having Covid issues. MLB did it and so did NFL and dont bitch that it’s a short cycle tournament. The6. Old have pushed a game to later in the week,f***ing pathetic hockey.

I really hope for Germany to get some of their players back for the SUI and SVK games. I would even hesitate to call what we are watching a game. It is more like one team knowing they have no more fuel in their legs, and the other just scoring any time they want. No competition here. Also, team Canada should really slow down in the 3rd. Unnecessary to humiliate the undermanned and exhausted opponent with 20 goals or so.

not under 20. Phillip Maurer 20 development in the DNL was former U20 National Goalie, developing and playing for Kölner Haie. Patrick Beger also 20 years old plays now for Memmingen both Goalies played a lot of Games for Landshut where i saw them and really showed some Talent.
If i could make Maurer one year older i would take him. :D

I've made this game far more exciting by keeping tabs on the Germans shot total instead of their goal total.

They're still down 2 but closing the gap.
