GDT: Germany vs Česko

Congrats to Germany for making the quarters. They are fourth in the pool no matter what happens today.

For the Czechs this tourney is a tale of 4 monkeys.

Monkey 1 is Canada kicking our asses for 30 years in regulation. We got rid of that monkey and hopefully don't have to wait till 2052 to do it again.

Monkey 2 is Sweden anhilating us for 20 years. That monkey is still jumping around after Sweden beat us.. again.

Monkey 3 is our neighbors Germany beating us 3 in a row here going back to 2014. Is today the day or does monkey 3 get bigger?

Monkey 4 is a 17 year medal draught.. that little bastard is exhasting.

Germany played their starter and had a hectic finish to their game. They can't improve their position at all and I say they play the backup and rest up for the Quarters. Czechs 4 - Germans 2.

Czech lineup with one major change that has me yelling at clouds.

Both lineups.. one thing I would like to see from Czech side.. a forward setup a forward for a goal at 5 on 5. I don't think that's happened yet.lol

Also, Suchanek currently has a better .ppg record than 10 of our forwards at 1.0. Kulich has only got points against Austria too. We knew the forwards were weaker for sure and I''ll always take a team with better D then forwards as D make everyone better. BUT... a little 5 on 5 punch would be nice.

German forwards dropping like flies. Oswald and Kechter promoted again and they have earned it. Oswald skates like the wind. Kechter can really shoot the puck.

No Van Calster who is strong as a bear, Proske and Del Monte. I assume Del Monte is done for the tourney. Cimmerman gets his first game today.

And to answer the question: dont think that goal is on him but I am sure he was mad at himself because it hit his glove and he could have gotten it.
