GDT: Germany v. Canada 23h30 UTC

Austria want even supposed to be here, they're just filling in for Russia. As for Germany, they almost beat Sweden last game, so I think they're fine. Playing Canada on the second game of a back-to-back was always going to be brutal.
A little over the top. GER vs SWE SOG 28- 44. "Almost beaten"?

My only question is how the Swedes only managed 1 goal against this German team. They've kinda fallen apart here against an angry Canadian squad but still.

I understand that running up the score on a poor team is rough on that team, but you don't win tournaments by slacking off. They should play hard to the end, nothing to do with karma, nothing to do with respect, it's to do with work ethic and continuing to improve and refine your team. Again, I very much understand it sucks for the other team and I empathize with them, but it's a world tournament. You do what you need to do to win at the end.
This isn't that poor a team.. it's more an impressive whipping!

Germany took Sweden to 1-0. They have beat Czechs 3 in a row.

There is only one poor team this year and you play them next. WADR to Austria.

I meant poor team as in I feel sorry for them right now, not the actual skill of the team itself!

Sweden was the better team over 60 minutes, but at least Germany's high scoring chances in the third period made Sweden look a bit lucky.
Germany had a Quapp in top form. No more no less!
