I don't know. We've all heard the rumors that Georgiev isn't particularly popular in the locker room, that he wants out, etc. When you see things like that--where everyone else, to a man, seems genuinely happy to greet and congratulate Shesterkin except for Georgiev who looks like he'd rather be anywhere else--it feels like in a small way it reinforces all those things you've heard. So, no, that video in a vacuum isn't problematic in any way, but I do think it's maybe reflective of where Georgiev is at, both in his own head and with his teammates.
Sitting in MSG for close to 3 hours is butt boring. The other guys have the adrenaline of playing. Georgy should be applauded for even being awake.

I don't know if there's ever been a player so unanimously hated by the fanbase.

Unanimously? Hated? Hopefully not. He's been shook since the incident, his play suffered severely, yes he stinks. Imo because of the incident.

Lotta narratives around Georgie, but there sure is a camp trying to force their hate for him onto others and the board. I don't like the look of that.

I thought it'll work out with Georgie, it won't. He needs to be traded asap so we can finally rest this whole matter, hopefully.

I dont hate Georgiev, but he needs a new team. He doesnt look like he wants to be here and the team is shaky in front of him and the coaches are nervous playing him. When Hank went down and Georgiev had the net, he played well, and I think he still can, but he doesn't do well with competition or with being the clear backup. Send him to Buffalo where he can start some games. I could see him playing very well for them in that market with less spotlight.

This pretty much sums it all up for me. Not going to get on that hate train which is so easy to do.

He needs a new home to see if he can work through it, which I highly doubt is possible in an NYR sweater.

I loved Lias during his time here :(. I legitimately thought hed become a good top 6 player. White Knighted for him like a madman here
I strongly advocated on his behalf and was very critical of how Quinn handled him. This was until he bailed and started acting like a little bitch, at which point I thought maybe there was more to his minimal role with the team than what was immediately apparent. At that point, I couldn't give two shits about him. I never wished him ill, but I certainly didn't root for him again.

The last player that comes close to hating for me is probably Rich Pilon. Ex-Islander. Unironically was the model of a Pylon on ice.
Any "unanimously hated" statements are being sensationalist.
Lias, Kravy, Georgiev... disappointed is more on point for my feeling. Does AV want Georgiev?

Bruce Driver?

Wade Redden?
Yeah, people really did hate Redden. And it was too bad, because he was genuinely a good guy. I remember when he got sent down and we had guys, I think McDonagh was one, who said he was such a positive presence in Hartford and was always devoting his time to help the young players along. He never seemed bitter, always positive and thankful for what he had, even when he knew he was basically done and the fans disliked him.

Rozsival used to get booed at the Garden after they'd announce his name on assists. He was a player the crowd turned on in a f***ing heartbeat and I never understood it. Malik was another one that everyone hated, I think primarily because he was huge but didn't play physically.

Those late-90's/early-00's teams were just generally loathsome groups. Quintal, Kamensky, the bad Kovalev, Holik, Malakhov, etc. Not much to like about them.
