I just started playing NHL 15 on the Xbox One a few days ago. The AI is different than I'm used to with NHL 12.. The amount of quality scoring chances the computer gets vs how many shots they take seems to be really lopsided. I'll be dominating all game, take 37 shots (with every other one hitting the crossbar it seems, so that doesn't even count towards the total) and then end up losing 6-5. Computer's shots on goal? Anywhere from 9-17. If I see a pass go across the crease and the computer doesn't score on a far side one-timer, I'm shocked. Seems like my own goalies can't stop a beach ball and the computer's goalies stop BBs. Guess I gotta figure out how the defense is different than NHL 12. Could still handily beat the computer on the hardest difficulty on that.
Good to see other people occasionally struggle as well.
I'm actually the same here, I had NHL 12 as my last game until my brother bought 15 (for 360), so I've been playing that this summer. The skating from game to game is what's the hardest thing to adjust to. I actually had a game where I outshot the computer 31-12 or something, and lost because they had 3 goals on 4 shots. I was playing on superstar though.
But it's really the acceleration differences that take the highest adjustment period in my experience.
I also played the X1 version of NHL 15 when it was free through EA Access for one week, and that's actually very different from the 360 version as well. Not even close to feeling the same.
