Great to see an interview with him, but didn't really shed much light on him at all. I was just thinking earlier today that it will be fun when my kid gets of age to read C&H. I was the PERFECT age for those so I ate them up and had the books. Plus my kid looks EXACTLY like Calvin, except without the spiky hair.

Words can't describe how confused I am by this OS.. Anything in particular I should know / download, Mac users?

What version of OSX are you running? What's confusing?

One of the big things I had to learn was how to install programs...you download them and drag them to the "Applications" folder. That's it. Uninstall is dragging them from the Applications folder to the trash can.

Learn to use Spotlight...I think it's Apple key + SPACE. Then just type in the program you want to run and hit enter.

Hmm...ALT+TAB still works but ALT+"`" goes between windows of the same program.

Start + "D" won't show the desktop...have to do Apple + "H" to hide each window.

The confusing parts are just the basic things that seemed normal using Windows. But it sounds like that OSX is pretty easy to learn. Starting to get a hang of it :)

Thanks for the tips, appreciate it!

Edit: Just realized my mouse buttons aren't working. You know, the ones that you use go to next/previous page. Using a Microsoft Comfort Mouse 6000. Any way to fix it? Worked fine with Windows 7.

You know how in kindergarden and just above they encourage you to have pen pals. Anyways, so I've had one since then. And every other Thursday I've gotten a mail from him, and vice versa. It just so happened that he was from Syria.Today as I was venturing liveleak.com, as I always do and checked it out. Mfw, I recognize the pictures from neighborhood in Damascus.

Mfw, I recognize him when the camera gets closer.

That is just horrible. Nothing else to say. World is a ****ed up place and life is so fragile and random.

For other news, I love Neil deGrasse Tyson. Such a great mind and charisma. Check out this small gem "How long until humans get to another galaxy":

A place.
Dinner at 3am. I am stuffed full of pancakes, hashbrowns, and several varieties of pork products, one of which is obviously bacon.

And I am not going to drop a lunch-o-gram on you guys, because I don't hate myself.

So there's this cool airshow in Houston every year called the "Wings over Houston Airshow". I used to go to this like every year from 2006 on until I left for college in 2010.

I remembered it so I thought about going this year, until I looked at the performers list and noticed this little gem:

The performers listed below were previously announced and scheduled to appear at Wings Over Houston 2013. The sequestration portion of the federal 2011 Budget Control Act mandates $500 billion in across-the-board defense spending cuts during the next 10 years. The federal sequestration mandate has currently reduced the military budgets, forcing a halt to all military appearances and performances. Military support for ALL airshows in the US was cancelled in April, 2013.

Limited funding was restored to some of the demonstration teams for flight proficiency. However, the teams have not had the required practice time to perform at airshows and will not appear at any airshow through the end of 2013. There will be no modern military support or appearances.

USAF Thunderbirds
A-10 Warthog West Coast Demo Team
Air Force Heritage Flight with A-10
US Navy F-18 Super Hornet
USMC AV-8 Harrier

Thanks Government, count me out this year.

So yesterday we went to the mall to kill some time. The Grand Forks, North Dakota mall is really, really ****ing huge, by the way.

Anyway, ended up going to JC Penney and getting some shirts. Took a few size large shirts into the dressing room and tried them on - the larges were too large!

Ended up going with mediums for the first time in years. I'm not even really doing much to work out but I've been dropping a few pounds. Love it. Just a little thing like that felt so good.

Then the Wild go and lose to the ****ing Panthers to kill my buzz

Me either, long distance relationships are hard.

I've been in one now for about 3.5 months, with at least 8 more months to go, things not looking good at the moment.

Since TP's always talking up Common, subscribed to the podcast and have been listening the past few days at work. Really liking the show this time around. Oddly enough he's a lot like Joe Soucheray but obviously very different opinions.

When it comes to shopping at Target, I think I'm the worst person ever when it comes to choosing which check-out line to go in. I always end up behind someone who takes forever or an incompetent employee.

I feel so overwhelmed right now in terms of career choices. I'm a junior and still haven't declared my major and really don't have much of an idea of what I want to go in to. I like history and that is by far the closest major I have to completing, but I really don't think there's much you can do with a history major. I talked to an academic counselor today and he mentioned that there's a new sports management major now and that it might be worth looking in to. There's two things that I know I love, and that's video games and hockey, all aspects of it, not just the game itself. I think I'll look in to that sports management major as well as a business major, and also digital media arts major, maybe designing video games or something like that. Problem with all those majors is that outside of a couple Econ classes and Stats, I haven't taken many of the major requirements so that likely means staying in college an extra year to become a super senior, and with the increased work load that means possibly needing to quit my job. I don't love UPS, but I've always thought of it as a back-up plan in case things don't work out in college/finding a job and I'd hate to have to quit there, especially if I don't find a job after completing my major. Then I'm really screwed.

Pants.
One of the Targets by me has self-checkout. That's the money line.

But even at its worst, with one register and 8000 people in line, it goes so much faster than a line with one person in it at Rainbow. I keep forgetting checks exist.
