I don't give a rat's behind who is playing better.

I just want a friggin' WIN in regulation!!!

Can't we get that for a change?

Is it too much to ask?

Regulation?! What the hell do you think this place is, the North Pole?

Extend it one year and potentially miss out on McDavid? **** that.

No, no chance on him. Pittsburgh will have Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Neal and Fleury all out for the entire season nursing "upper body injuries" that occur in the first practice of training camp. :sarcasm:

It didn't get deflected - the other goal got deflected. Henrique and Bernier did a great job screening a shot 1 foot off the ice just inside the post though.

Softie for sure.

Nice pic there. How the hell is he supposed to see that? Soft as ice cream right there. :sarcasm:

Zajac and Henrique were pretty smart to sign long-term deals when they did...people thought we were getting a bargain that Zajac didn't go to UFA or that Henrique signed for six years lol. Zajac wouldn't have gotten nearly as much money in UFA after his poor season last year, and Henrique sure as shooting wouldn't see $4 million if he has another poor year this year and was going to sign long-term then.

Yeah it's Zajac's fault that our D hasn't showed up to play a single game yet all season.

agreed, but id expect a little more production from him. our top paid player and 1C not showing up is a little disconcerting

I'm sorry but aren't the Devils paying Travis a lot to PRODUCE OFFENSIVELY?

He's not doing that, is he?

So he gets criticized justly for failing thus far.

Same thing with Henrique, he needs to step it up and start delivering some offense to the Devils because as of right now he and Travis aren't getting it done with the amount of money they're paid.

it's zajac fault that he can't create anything and has been terrible offensively. Just being good defensively doesn't cut it when you're getting paid 5.6m.

And he should be better at faceoffs as well (47.9), but the season is young so it's probably easier to improve that than his point production.

Zajac is 4th among Devils forwards in points and is far and away their best defensive forward. Definitely his fault.

Bingo...if it's fair to rip on defensive defensemen for not doing the job defensively, it's fair to rip on forwards for not producing offensively. Sometimes people forget scoring is the primary job of forwards. Yes, they have to do other things too for the most part but by the same token you don't have Vladimir Zharkovs as first-line players either.

Funny how much blame Zajac gets while our best center Andrei Loktionov with his awesome playmaking ability (1 assist) and solid defense (-3) hasn't been mentioned.

lol...fourth on the team in scoring. Two lousy assists in six games, tied with Anton Volcheknov among others in points. And it's more like fifth anyway cause two players have three points.

Loiktionov is paid peanuts, not expected to do as much and is replaceable if he fails, Zajac isn't.

Those 2 assists just jump out? Don't they? :shakehead:D What does that project over the season?
We're one of the lowest scoring teams in the NHL. And how many points did the great Travis register last year while getting prime PP time? 20 in 48 games? He's a great guy in the locker-room but horribly overpaid.

Brunner, Jagr, and Elias are the only 3 forwards with more points. Hence I said, he's 4th among forwards in scoring.

And I was told this offseason that Loktionov was a great two way player. If Zajac get be blamed, than so should Loktionov.

Oh, and let's not forget Gionta. The man who is a proven NHL player, definitely not AHL material. The guy who has stood around and watched plays develop as he gets pinned in his own end every single time he's on the ice.

Seriously, he'd be on pace for 27 points in 82 games at this point. That is NOT what you want from a first-line center...that's about half of what you'd want.

half is being very forgiving. 60 I can live with if hes excellent defensively. would prefer 70+
