Yikes

A UVM spokesperson told The Athletic on Wednesday that a report was first filed with the university regarding Woodcroft’s conduct on March 16 and that he was not placed on leave during the investigation.

RIT gets one of their rare ESPN+ games tomorrow night as their at an ECAC school (St. Lawrence). 6:05 puck drop to start the season.

RIT should be quite good this year. 2nd recruiting year of giving scholarships and they haven't lost too much of note from last year's regular season AHA champions. Getting Gianfranco Cassaro back on a grad year is huge.

RIT takes down Notre Dame at Brick City, 3-0. Impressive win, especially considering they had to kill a full 2 minute 5 on 3 and a full 5 minute major in the game - then locked down and controlled the pace in the 3rd with the lead.

Anyone else shocked by this result? I get that D1 teams don't take NTDP games as seriously as "real" games, but you'd think BU would want to show next season's top recruits what they're made of.

Eiserman and Cole Hutson ran all over BU.

Nah, guys absolutely do not go full blast in exhibitions against the NTDP, so the result is not surprising. What is more interesting is Eiserman and Huston are both BU commits, so maybe they had a chip on their shoulder to make a good impression before even getting to campus.

BU lost to New Hampshire (allowing 6 goals) this weekend too. They definitely aren't in mid-season form but that tends to happen early in the year. Guys still getting to know each other at game speed and the like.

“It was a blast,” Kraft said, reflecting on his first collegiate minutes and his offensive outburst. “Coming in, didn’t really know what to expect. Obviously, Lynah is a great place to play, so it was definitely a blast.”

Kraft debuted on a first-line with Seger at center and DeSantis at right wing.

“It’s been awesome,” Kraft said of playing with the two experienced forwards. “Obviously [Seger] is very experienced and his awareness and hockey sense is second to none. [DeSantis] is a very highly skilled player, too.”

It is crazy to think about a kid I coached as a Mite getting 1+2 in his first game of D1 hockey.
