David Carr and the Raiders HC both held conferences for the media and both handled themselves well.
I feel for the family of the young lady who lost her life in such a horrific way. That is the only thing about this that is important in this case.
Derek Carr. David is the former Texans QB.

As more details emerge it gets worse for Ruggs.

death of another driver and her dog
intoxicated
Excessive speed
Open flask
Loaded gun

now hearing that bystanders who went to help the woman confirmed she was conscious after the accident. Making the final moments of before death even more horrific.

Even after news of Ruggs accident Ohio State QB (3rd string) Jack Miller gets arrested on Friday morning for Operating a vehicle while impaired.

we just saw a guy kill another person, destroy his life and career, and we get another arrest of another drunk driving football player. Like nothing is going to get to these guys.

It's almost like alcohol is actually one of the most dangerous drugs in the world. But nah, let's keep weed illegal federally and be lenient on the tens/hundreds of thousands of crimes that occur per year because of alcohol.

Just saw the aftermath Riggs video. His gf screaming for help and that he’s unconscious while the other lady burns to death makes me sick.

Cook's situation sounds like an absolute ****show

His attorney is claiming they have two independent witnesses so it should be relatively simple to clear his name if that's the case. There's video out of her threatening him so if anything this looks more like Dalvin was actually the victim. (He's also a smart man if that's his recording)

Ugly situation all around. If she's claiming the abuse happened here after this clip then Dalvin should have a pretty easy self defense case to make since she threatens him and then mentions the gun.

Former NFL running back Zac Stacy was arrested Thursday night on felony charges of aggravated assault and criminal mischief after video evidence surfaced of him allegedly beating up his ex-girlfriend, according to a report by TMZ Sports.

Stacy, a former Second-Team All-SEC selection at Vanderbilt who played in the NFL, flew from Nashville, Tenn. to Orlando, Fla. on Thursday night "with the intention of turning himself in." According to reports by TMZ, Stacy has been accused by his ex-girlfriend of beating her on numerous occasions.

Earlier in November, Stacy's ex-girlfriend, Kristin Evans, publicly shared a video of the athlete allegedly punching her in the head multiple times before throwing her into a television. Their five-month old son is present in the room while the altercation is happening in the video.

In an application for a restraining order, Evans wrote that Stacy "has escalated violence since May while I was pregnant. He also assaulted me just weeks before our son was born. He will not stop. He will kill me and he feels justified in his actions," according to TMZ.

Stacy fled the scene of last Saturday's alleged assault before Evans called 911, but was taken into custody on Thursday night without incident. For her safety, Evans has allegedly been moved to an undisclosed location.

Stacy was chosen by the St. Louis Rams in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft and played two seasons for the team, as well as one season for the New York Jets, in 2015. He retired from the NFL in 2017, but went on to play professional football for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL and the Memphis Express of the now-defunct Alliance of American Football.

Presently, Stacy faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted on the charges he is facing.

Ongoing situation with Vikings DE Everson Griffen. :amazed:

from espn.com:

The Minnesota Vikings and the Minnetrista Police Department are dealing with an ongoing situation involving defensive end Everson Griffen, who has refused to come out of his residence after making a series of disturbing posts on Instagram earlier Wednesday morning claiming that someone was in his home trying to kill him.

The Minnetrista Public Safety Department said in a news release that Griffen called 911 after 3 a.m. Wednesday from his residence. He said someone was inside his home and requested assistance from authorities. Griffen also told the 911 dispatcher that he fired a weapon but that no one was injured.

According to the news release, law enforcement and Vikings team psychologists have been in communication with Griffen since approximately 7 a.m. but Griffen has refused to come out of his residence. Police said they could not find an intruder at Griffen's residence.

Early Wednesday morning, Griffen made several Instagram posts, all of which have been deleted, including a video that showed the defensive end inside his home with a pistol, which he said belongs to him.

"I'm in my house. N----- trying to pop me," Griffen said in the video. "I've still got clips left. This is my gun, .45 Wilson Combat, registered to me. I bought all my bullets around town. Dalvin Cook helped me purchase this gun. It all belongs to me, and they are registered to me. I know exactly where I bought them. I've got the card I have them on. I have everything."

In an Instagram story, Griffen wrote, "I need help people trying to kill me. At my own house," and he posted screenshots of an alleged text conversation with his agent, Brian Murphy of Athletes First, in which he requested help from 911.

Police are "confident" Griffen is alone inside the home and are continuing to work with him to resolve the situation.

Green Bay should be fined and lose a draft pick for allowing Rodgers to violate the league team protocols. Rodgers himself nah.
They did get fined I think. Not sure yet about the draft pick.

Rodgers didn’t lie to the NFL about his vax status. Just to the media.

Rodgers disregarded the protocols and put his teammates at risk, he should be punished as well as the team. As a long term veteran and I would imagine a team captain, he showed very poor leadership and just felt that he was above the law that everyone else was expected to follow

Rodgers just put everyone in danger and went against strict rules…
