Yep, very similar to the one Grahame gave up to Latvia in the first game.

This one should have been cleared by the defense though.

The Grahme rebound was off a rocket in the slot. This one one off a nothing shot from the point.

It should have been caught, and a face-off. Grahme had no chance, DiPietro did.

Nice dive by Holmstrom.
Not so much a dive as it is that Homer isn't the most stable on his feet out in the open ice (think newborn giraffe). Once he gets his tripod set up in front of the net he's fine tho. :D

I think it has been a good start. Long sequences of play without a lot of penalties.

Sweden has better goaltending, defense, and finishing. It really isn't that close.

I agree with the top 5-6 forwards maybe, but USA has definitely 4 well rounded formations, which sweden has not :)

Some players, especially Euro's really seem to raise their game when playing for the national team as compared to the NHL. Lidstrom seems to be the opposite. He's much more noticable when playing for the Wings, than he is for Sweden.

Who was the defenseman who tried to pinch and caused the 2-on-1? :shakehead:

DiPietro was lucky to get a piece of that.

Blake/Knuble/Modano is our best line right now, but there aren't any Hurricanes on it so we won't see it much.

Modano is playing with Cole and Rolston.. as usual..

Speaking of Modano, this is like the 4th dumb penalty he has taken this tournament.
