Ronnie Sundin has been terrible in his timing today. Terrible.

The ref is bad, both ways, a little worse towards Sweden though. No complaints, just stating the obvious ;)

After watching Russians flying this morning, it seems like both teams are barely walking in this game.

Man, they are slow

Both teams have played a lot of PK > Slow game.

Team speed is not the advantage of either team in this game, that's for sure. USA has a couple of fast forwards, though. Sweden are really immobile, but then they always were. Puck movement hockey is our ideal :teach:

One thing is becoming clear so far with Team USA this tournament, they can't finish to save their lives. They are playing well but if you weren't watching the games and only saw they have only eight goals playing in their fourth game you would never know that.

By the way Tkachuk and Guerin have been useless so far, we need them to play MUCH better.

I think both the 5 on 3´s were correct (even though the Lidstrom call was a bit harsh). But USA really didnt put enough effort in it when they got the 2 man adv.

Expect more from guys like Modano, Tkachuk and in Schneider in situations like that.

Yeah, Schneider has 19 goals, most from the top of the circles and further out. I don't see why they don't set Knuble and Tkachuk out front and just let them rip from far out. On both 5on3s the US tried to get way too close to the net rather than just letting Matt and Mo rip it from the point. Plus it would have stretched the 3 Swedes out a bit and THEN they can try a backdoor play or two through the triangle.

I think the officiating has not been too bad. If you are shorthanded and take a penalty, well, its a penalty, and if your helmet falls off, you can't touch the puck.

It's a great game. The goaltending and defenses have been spectacular! Sweden gets the edge so far for kiing two 5 on 3's. USA needs to do a better job burying the puck!

Can I send Scott Gomez the bill to fix my damaged wall from throwing the remote. Man was he frustrating to watch on that 5 on 3.

Losing face-offs, turning the puck over, refusing to shoot. I like Gomez, he is one my favs, but wow was that pathetic.

I dont know why the commentators and the peeps in the studio seems to think that we´re playing a good game. We are so unbelievably unskilled when it comes to creating scoringchanses, and even worse at actually burying them.

R.Sundin needs to sit.

The Sedin´s and Sammy are totally useless, whats up with this?
I thought the redheads were the best line in Vancouver...

The Russian game got very slow at some point. They were literally playing in slow motion in the Latvian zone :sarcasm:

I agree, most of the penalties against the US have been very clear. Nothing contraversal about any of the calls that really put them two men down, but even then he's still missed a few calls. For chrissake he was staring directly at Cole when he took that second knee.

That reminds me, where's Naslund? Did he pull out?

Yes, he pulled out. Did not feel 100% and did not want to risk anything... was the official excuse I believe. Ironically, he did quite well with the Canucks just before the Olympic break.. if I remember correctly.

On the contrary I believe he did better when he declined :D
Not sure about it, but I feel his stats rose evidently even though he was "injured" hmm.. doesn't matter now.

P.J. Axelsson just stated that he thought all the pens was fair and that the swedes needs to watch their sticks.
