the knee was more like a reaction than a cheapshot, but it was definitly a penalty.

It does not matter how many 5 on 3s USA gets. The rulebook clearly defines what is and what is not a penalty. It is not up to the refs to use discretion and decide how many powerplays we deserve. When a player is blatantly tripped, the offender should be given a penalty, regardless of the score, time, and other penalties.

So im not sure what hocky you are watching but it cant be NHL since its not allowed to play without a helmet there either. The only difference is that in international hockey you are not allowwed to continue playing if you loose your helmet. Its to prevent injury and it defenatly should be added to NHL rules too in my oppinion. Anything to protect the players.

Geez, another great period, I think I'm developing an ulcer.
Great penalty killing by both teams, and both goalies are looking great. Should be an awesome third period.

R. Sundin must be the worst, I hope not the americans get the impression that hes an dirty player after two knees in the "Ulfie"ala Neely style, hes just so damn slow.
