The only goal he was beat clean was Miller’s. The first was a ridiculous set of deflections and the 2nd was deflected by Boqvist.Yet another non-competitive performance by Sorokin against the Rangers. 2 of the 3 goals absolutely have to be stopped. No screen, no deflection, straight on shots going over his shoulder or arm with slow reflexes.
Meanwhile Shesterkin is unbeatable.
Nobody on this team is untouchable.Who do you guys view as untouchable?
There's not many I can see.
The D guys have been awful this season, Dobson the most disappointing. Pulock just isn't factor.
Forwards - Horvat not really a factor. Tspy dried up. Zeeker is old. Lee is old. JGP is declining. Nelson and Palms surely going.
Keep Holmy!
Seriously?.......don't think that Hellebuyck would be doing much better, if at all, than Sorokin playing here. For comparison purposes, Connor Hellebuyck, a real elite goalie, has allowed 2 goals or less in 5 of his last 7 games. And one of the two he didn't was giving up 3 against us in a game Sorokin allowed (no surprise) 4.
Lets not embarrass ourselves?
Nobody on this team is untouchable.
They didn't listen to Bones
The second goal was not lucky, that was a cannon, I don’t care if it deflected off a stick, that’s a big time goalHes made multiple ridiculous saves this game. First 2 goals were lucky. Off a guys head and off of a stick. Goal against Miller was the only one where he got beat.
We suck on the PP. Can’t get shots off when open. Can’t complete passes. None of those are Sorokins fault
Trading Sorokin would be waaay down on my things-to-do list this week. But I can't overlook the fact that he is 29 years old and likely to be in the same situation that Brock Nelson is, a player who is likely to be aging out at the time this franchise is ready to compete again. The only thing that makes Sorokin's situation more palatable is the fact that he has 7 years remaining on his contract so we're not going to be wrestling over the decision of how to extend a star player in the twilight of his career. However I'd like to hear what that "ridiculous return" might be. Like trading Mat Barzal, any huge return that can fix multiple problems I'm all ears for.I'm in the camp of Sorokin is untouchable barring a ridiculous return. In the realm of re-build, re-structure, re-tool, re-re-re-re-re-re.....if there is a surprise season out of nowhere with a new group of players, at least you can bank on your goaltender.
Deflected off a stick and Sorokin's mask. The second goal was not lucky, that was a cannon, I don’t care if it deflected off a stick, that’s a big time goal
