My laptop got BSoD just before the game was starting, had to re-tool/re-install. Fk almost happy that I cannot watch this game.

Needless to say adding duclair was a nothing move. Between injuries and ineffective play, it didn't even nudge the needle.
Defense regressed into ineptitude aside from the injuries.
I still don't know if Barzal can be counted in the category of elite players.
We are weighed down by long and expensive contracts, including players of who are not worth it, sorry Pierre.
Nelson and Palmieri being two of your top scorers at their age and expiring contracts mean little.
I mean looking at bright spots, aside from the above two aging free agents, Holmstrom and Romanov have been impressive. Sorokin has still shown he's able to still games. DeAngelo, Boqvist, and Perunovich have provided stability to the defensive core, but it was too little too late. And to think those three outplayed Pelech, Pulock, and Dubson is just mind blowing.

I'd be happy with trading most of them if price is right. Keep Romanov, Barzal, Sorokin, Holmstrom.
Horvat has been low impact this season. Pulock under achiever. jGP dropped off. cizikas declining. Lee had a decent season, but not getting younger.

What a pathetic effort, Lou needs to quit being delusional even if they somehow sneak into the playoffs (they won’t) this is a sweep candidate. Do what’s best for the future of this team which looks bleak
A goalie who is the fifth highest paid in the league should not allow 3 or more goals in 6 of the last 7 games and 4 or more in 5 of the 6.
For comparison purposes, Connor Hellebuyck, a real elite goalie, has allowed 2 goals or less in 5 of his last 7 games. And one of the two he didn't was giving up 3 against us in a game Sorokin allowed (no surprise) 4.

Outside of an odd game here or there, I stopped watching this team in November. I refuse to watch any more losses; I’ve seen enough through my Islander fandom journey.

There's not many I can see.
The D guys have been awful this season, Dobson the most disappointing. Pulock just isn't factor.
Forwards - Horvat not really a factor. Tspy dried up. Zeeker is old. Lee is old. JGP is declining. Nelson and Palms surely going.

I was out tonight so missed the game.
I will never ever root for the Rags to beat the Isles but frankly I’m not that bothered by the result.
It’s foolish for me to think that a game like this might convince Lou to do the right thing but I can still dream, can’t I?

I genuinely don’t think anyone on this roster is untouchable besides Holmstrom, and even then it’s more like a “keep him because he fits with our timeline/current situation” rather than pure talent. Even someone like Sorokin will be 30 by the start of next so I have trouble putting him in the untouchable category based on our aging roster.
Barzal, Horvat, Holmstrom, Romanov, George are the only five I would not even take offers on. Just below that Dobson and Sorokin, but if I got an offer you cannot refuse I would trade these two.
