Honestly don't care too much about who else gets in, good that at least one of them lost tonight. Sens are at the one yard line from making the playoffs in what seems like an eternity and to me that's all that matters. MTL being in will just make more chirping in my neck of wood which I don't mind at all
Yeah, I never agreed with the schedule being "easy". Too many of the games on the schedule are/were against direct competitors for the last couple of playoff spots, and therefore against highly motivated teams! Things would have been different had the Habs or Columbus lost a couple more games before the trade deadline and had decided to sell. Still, it's bad that we weren't able to collect more points against teams that are out of the playoff race (Buffalo in particular).Man, the Bruins really look lifeless out there these days eh?
I seem to remember people saying we had an easy schedule to round out the year, so why does it feel like we're facing all the top teams and direct competitors while the Habs get to beat up on bottom-feeders? Just a random thought, no need to answer it
The reality is there are no easy games. Too much parity in the league, but, the schedule absolutely was/is favourable. Home ice is an advantage. The opposition is a bit of a double edged sword late in the season. Some teams are resting guys for the playoffs or have lingering injuries, while some are healthy, others are playing loose with no pressure, so their position in the standings might not always reflect how tough a game will be, so you can't expect a game to be easy based on the opponent,
