I LOVEEEEEEEEEE the development of USA hockey. These kids are developing to overtake Canada in the upcoming generation. These kids play with intense skill, pace. Love how much hockey has grown in America

It's not too bad. We aren't on Canada's level yet though. Just look at the upcoming drafts, we have Cooley in the 2022 draft and he'll go high, but Canada still has the best prospects.

China has gotten significantly worse with each period. Whereas they looked decent in the first period, they have looked lost and confused since.

It’d be a 15-0 route. Totally expect Russia to win gold. But I’m interested to see how US and Canada plays against Russia’s best

or am I overrating Russian KHL players?

Russia is overrrated. They left so much talent off their roster it's absurd. For some reason they went with 1 scoring line and a bunch of role players.

Based on strenth of roster Finland are my favorites.

Changed the rink size for international tournaments starting this year

And we still heard Moore talking way too much about the KHL players being at a disadvantage because they're not used to smaller ice... Despite half of the KHL rinks already having the smaller ice since the KHL decided to follow the IIHF's lead two years ago.

Farrell again.

What a great couple of days for us Habs fans. Great to see.

Can only imagine what kind of scoreline it would've been had this been best-on-best tournament.
On the other hand seeing the youth this tournament is good and having Farrell score a hat trick is great

has 1980 vibes but it's just one game...

Perfect game.

Farrell gets the hat trick and we also get the shutout.

Hellz yeah.

I know it’s not as dominant as it could have been but seeing China get trashed is always fun.

Also stocked about Farrell as a Habs fan.

As expected, the by far the worst KHL team doesn't fare very well against international competition either despite some users predicting that their chemistry would allow them to keep things close or even win.

I mean, they did for a time but they just don't have the talent to weather the inevitable storm.

I mean yes, if we really want to lower the standards, then I suppose we can indeed congratulate them for keeping it close for one period.

Even if the game ended 8:0.
