Two or three games, move on. The ten stuff is excessive. Geno's stupid, and he's got a penchant for using his stick as a weapon throughout his career, but he's not Steve Downie or Matt Cooke out there trying to kill guys.

I am absolutely floored by this analysis about this minor "crosscheck." TEN Games????? There have been like 100 worse things this season.

TNT treating this like Bertuzzi-Moore as if 50 crosschecks to the head will not be totally ignored in the next month of hockey.
What? Is it because the dude cut his lip? Is that what makes this especially violent?
If I ran the league, every single high crosscheck would be 10 games.
But it is borderline not a penalty in the late season/playoffs.
Brandon Dubinski once crosschecked recently post-concussion Sid like 3 times in the head in one playoff series and he didn't even get 2 minutes.
The standards are just totally random.

This is what happens when the refs "let them play." Not saying Geno isn't wrong and shouldn't get punished, but the refs set the standard today that you're gonna have to fend for yourself.

Is this team coached to pass the puck back to the defenseman every single time? I swear they pass up shots or pass up attempting to pass to the other forwards in favor of dropping the puck back to one of our defensemen who shoot about as fast as the speed limit in a school zone.
I stand corrected. It still is not anywhere near ten games. I for one hope he's suspended for a few games though just so we can call up DOC.

My favorite part was Gretzky complaining that Geno didn't also get a slashing penalty as if there haven't been 30 blatant penalties by both teams ignored in this game.
I don’t think he should get 10 games but he cross-checked him in the face dude. Put your Pens fandom to the side. This ain't 1986 anymore. Malkin lost his cool and should sit a few games. I don’t understand how anyone can watch that play and:
A) lie about it being a “punch”
B) not see a blatant cross-check to the face
I’m a Pens fan but I really don’t get why homers do this. It’s a bad penalty and a deserved sussy.
