The PP is like King Kong on their collective backs. They should just play as if it were 5 on 5 they seem way too tense and tentative

The only good news is that it's next to impossible for the PP to stay this bad for much longer. They will break through at some point, but it's hard to see Malholtra back again next year.

It is actually mind blowing how a PP with this much talent can be this f***ing terrible. I know everyone is putting all the blame on Rielly but it is clearly a lot deeper then just Rielly lol

I think it’s their puck possession mentality and overthinking the PP that’s the root of the problem. They make such a habit of keeping the puck they seem hesitant to shoot it while wasting time looking for the perfect look. They also don’t engage in puck recovery very well or transition it clean so nothing works.

The powerplay matters less in the playoffs but it’s not completely worthless. If the Leafs can’t convert on the few powerplays they do get in the postseason they’re f***ed.
