Thats exactly the point, nobody has tried man marking him on a regular basis until last season, and look what happened? I think there must be some gentlemans agreement to not ruin the game by man marking cuz its ugly.
Look what happened to Jaromir Jagr when he got man marked by Jay Pandolfo of the Devils, Jagr could not do shit. Was it fun to watch? No. Was it effective, yes.
Just stand by Ovechkins side and never leave on the PP, he cant score. Nobody has ever tried it. Just have one man stand and guard him, and not feck around about it.
