I appreciate he's new, and has never really been very good, but Rodrigues is hopeless. He's also far too ugly for our team of dreamboats.
DNVR would probably agree. He's bringing down the Man Rockets.I appreciate he's new, and has never really been very good, but Rodrigues is hopeless. He's also far too ugly for our team of dreamboats.
Yeah, the teams Handsomeness/60 is definitely taking a huge hit.I appreciate he's new, and has never really been very good, but Rodrigues is hopeless. He's also far too ugly for our team of dreamboats.
We always get stupid scheduling and the org doesn't mind or has no bargaining power, or we travel so much that it can't be better. Is there any other team that gets weird schedule to begin the season like the Avs do? Back to back to start now no game until Monday
I've had them as the 2nd best team in the conference. It kinda baffles me how much stock some people are putting on that series against Edmonton where Markstrom shit his pants. Tampa got swept by Columbus, the next year they won the cup. Not saying the Flames are going to win a cup, but I still have them as the superior team to Edmonton.Flames are good.
My biggest concern is he looks just as bad as he did in postseason last year.I agree that Nwhook hasn’t looked good and have stated as such however last game was a disaster for the whole team, on a back to back after a long travel, so I’m gonna give him some leeway here. I’m leery on his role as a 2c as well but he should be given some games in that role before saying he can’t fill it…. And if that happens, hopefully rantanen is up next in the 2c batting order. Not saying you feel differently, (or maybe you do lol), just piggybacking off your comment.
It is concerning how he still can’t create anything on his own and loses all battles he engages in. There should be some flashes here and there but his entire time in the NHL he’s gotten “fortunate” when getting points, most were not earned…. That’s very concerning to me.
The only thing I took from this is that Rodrigues looks like a toolRodriguez looks like he has some tools we can use on this team. At the moment he looks lost out there hopefully he can get up to speed quick.

Most of them played against teams also on the 2nd night of a back to back though. Not the same playing a rested team.Last night, Toronto, Colorado, Washington, Chicago and Seattle were playing the 2nd night of back to backs. Tonight the Rangers will be on the 2nd night. Tomorrow, Detroit, Tampa, Columbus, Montreal, and San Jose will be on the 2nd night of back to backs. That's 12 teams in the first week. I think 8 or 9 will be having a 3 games in 4 night stretch. A lot of teams are dealing with this. Early in the season, it shouldn't matter though.
This early in the season, rest shouldn't matter as much. Most of them played against teams also on the 2nd night of a back to back though. Not the same playing a rested team.
Wait, we played back to back on week nights, and now we don't play at all, all weekend?
OH COOL.
Well tonight is off, but yeah. There are no games on Sunday with football and potential MLB playoff games. So.. the alternative would have been back to back to back.![]()
Touche, and then we could have complained about 3 in 4 nights then!Well tonight is off, but yeah.
At least there's an early BUF-FLA game tomorrow.![]()
Helllll no Macdermid should be used primarily at FWD. He hurts the team significantly less there than on the backend.I'd like to see Meyers given more ice time. I thought he looked good in both games, and he's clearly built for this team with his speed and tenacity. He also makes smart plays with the puck.
Saddling him with MacDermid ruins the line. MacDermid should only be used as a #7/8 defensemen, not up front. I'd sooner play MacDonald on the 4th line with Meyers and Sedlak.
My point goes beyond this week/season and not an excuse for last night "performance". Our scheduling is always quirky.Last night, Toronto, Colorado, Washington, Chicago and Seattle were playing the 2nd night of back to backs. Tonight the Rangers will be on the 2nd night. The irony is that this is the same population base that likes to take pride in having the most classy fans in baseball.KADRI AN ABSOLUTE MENACE RUNNING FRANCOUZ, get that guy out of the league. Am I doing this right?? @ St. Louis blues fans
The whole NHL’s scheduling is that way. Just a matter of trying to fit 82 games in multipurpose arenas with other sports and conferences while getting ratings and attendance. It isn’t an Avs thing, is just how the league has to operate. My point goes beyond this week/season and not an excuse for last night "performance". Our scheduling is always quirky.
