I'll just say this.

If Jacques Lemaire packs his magic pixxy dust and is driving down right now, ok, let's fire Deboer.
Otherwise, let's be honest, with this team, do you think there is anyone free right now that would do better?

Sooooo we just keep the no emotion no clue Coach and call it a season. **** that just skip two seasons of Hockey

It's not one thing or the other or black and white. The problems are a mix of coaching, GM, and roster personnel. They're not playing at their capability but their capability isn't all that much greater then this. It's not that Marty or Schneider always let in weak goals (they both do just one is less likely to then the other).

No team is 1-8 bad. Being that bad over the course of a season would be a level of horrible play of historic proportions. People at large said this was not a playoff team or at least not anything more then a fringe playoff team for good reason but that kind record in terms of wins and losses won't sustain itself. It'll improve. So while they should commit to a rebuild and don't have a great roster they should fire the coach and attempt to put out the best season possible as that's the only course left really with the forfeited pick. That one win every five games almost over the course of almost 50 games speaks for itself really.

This will probably be an unpopular suggestion but Paul Maurice?

EDIT: If we can cajole Jacques back into bailing out another horribly coached team I'm on board but don't see it happening.

If Lemaire comes back and fixes this ****ing mess, not only do I want his name in the rafters, but I want all the bathrooms at the Rock and the corresponding plumbing system named "The Jacques Lemaire Waste Removal System" after his ability to fix our **** problem.

Hell build a statue of the guy right in the middle of Jacques Lemaire's Championship Plaza and right in front of Lemaire BBQ.

Haha this made me laugh.

Harrold is making the right play, Lokti is under no pressure whatsoever and that is a set breakout play, give it from the boards to a center swinging up if he is not under pressure. Somehow Lokti manages to make a long pass out to the Blue Jacket at the blueline instead of catching it. He is not in the slot but well inside the circle as he should be for that pass. People saying it's a 'dangerous pass" in front of the goal, well if he just lost it right there instead of magically getting it to the blueline that would have been probably fine, although Fayne is taking a sighseeing tour I don't know where instead of watching his man.

Maybe Kevin Stevens can get caught with crack hookers again and the judge will sentence him to coach the New Jersey Devils.

so back to the real task at hand, and maybe constructively discussing this..

Who do we replace him with?

Boucher seems like the only reasonable candidate at this point with Ruff gone. I don't like him.

Ron Wilson? bahaha

I know, bring back Brent Sutter.

Arniel is with the Rags so that ain't happenin.

Haviland's stock has dropped.

Who am i missing that isn't in a current position?

Mike Keenan
Guy Boucher
Brent Sutter
Mactavish
Bob Hartley
Guy Carbonneau
Bring back Robinson (one can hope)
Andy Murray?
John Anderson
Willie Desjardins
Troy WardMike Johnston

Hartley is Calgary's coach, MacT is Edmonton's "GM".

Keenan? LOL. Dinosaur that can't coach in this league anymore, just like Wilson.

The teaam is slow and old. Time to give Gelinas and Merril a Shot . Trade deadline move Ryder, Jagr, Fayne, Salvador. Get as many picks as possible so we make up for another lost 1st. Maybe Conte has to go as well as Deboer. And Lou should stay on as president, however, we can use a new and younger GM.

I think debeor gets 1 more game.... I think if they lose to Vancouver his devils coaching days are over..

loud said he looks at the season in 10 game increments... well if the team is 1-6-3 after the Vancouver game than he has to make a coaching move

if debeor remains the coach at this rate much longer than management does not believe in the talent on this team.

I myself am pretty tired of watching this team the past 4 years ( save the cup run) lou lam's is a loyal man and a man of character and believes in his convictions and who is to argue.. im sure he will retire when he is ready... possibly with marty
