Miller plays better without Trouba... Why do they keep playing him with Trouba?

Because Trouba has to be one of the top 4 D men just because of his contract. It makes me sick.

Yeah but you would at least be able to analyze it. Losing a random round one against Pittsburgh or Tampa or NYI is basically a coin flip so whatever. If they win a round, then lose to say Carolina, then you can actually work on what went wrong.

Idk I think there’s a fairly simple analysis on what is wrong with the rangers. Or what needs to be improved upon. The outcome of the playoffs wouldn’t make much of a difference.

Miller is such a key guy for this team. Maybe it's because he's the guy with the biggest gap between his worse and his best. When he's playing great, we should win every game. But when he's bad, he's downright horrible. When he plays like this, we can't win.

I know sitting Trouba or Miller isn't the realistic option but what is it going to f***ing take? They're an automatic 3 GA a game.

We lost once when Trouba was hurt.

Imo he just plain and simply plays too much. Put him with Jones or Gus on the 3rd pair, let him pk. Give Miller, Fox, Schneider and Lindgren the ice.

We only have one line that can score at 5v5. Our bottom six is too full of plugs.

And our top line is awful. It has no RW and a center who is in the clouds. A real 1C has to be the goal in the offseason. Get that and you can put a young wing on that line and prosper. Mika cannot be allowed to turn in another campaign like this.

Nobody wants to say it but a large part of the issue is the goaltending has been bad ever since Igor's back to back shutouts. His stats look fine now because of the hot stretch but he has an .891 save percentage since then in 10 games. He's allowed 26 goals on 19.9 xG in that time frame (5v5) and Quick 11 on 7.7.

Want to see how the games are played before judgement is made. Now I don't expect anything drastically different, but tonight has been a weird effort and the first period against the islanders was straight up unacceptable for this team with full home ice on the line.
