Nobody wants to say it but a large part of the issue is the goaltending has been bad ever since Igor's back to back shutouts. His stats look fine now because of the hot stretch but he has an .891 save percentage since then in 10 games.

Sure, but I’m talking about fundamental issues with the team over the course of the season. Obviously they are a good team but they’ve been lucky and the reason they probably aren’t on the level of some of the other top teams is because of their inability to generate at 5v5.

Yeah but you would at least be able to analyze it. Losing a random round one against Pittsburgh or Tampa or NYI is basically a coin flip so whatever. If they win a round, then lose to say Carolina, then you can actually work on what went wrong.
