Only three more games. I know there's the playoffs, and I suppose we should be used to the CBJ not being there, but it sucks to be so close to the end.

maybe its the let down of how the season went with the injuries and all, but i'm burnt out and ready for the season to be over...I'm sure if we were in the playoffs I wouldn't be like this...but I'm just ready for saturday to come and go

Murray skating with Connauton/Goloubef. Falk - Prout is still a pairing for some reason.

At least via the morning skate updates.

RedStorm45, I agree with you. Why Falk and Prout are still a pairing after that debacle on Monday is a mystery. Man crush on big defenders I guess. I feel for Goloubef if he is the odd man out, he has done to deserve being sat. Time will tell.

I wouldn't exactly call that a debacle and they played well the rest of the night, one giveaway by Prout lead to the goal, it wasn't even a direct giveaway to goal, it was a giveaway that developed into the goal. I would expect Falk to be a scratch tonight.

No Fedor Tyutin at today's morning skate,
but #CBJ D Ryan Murray looks like he
could play tonight.

Mr. Glass is probably returned. Will be a new injury to the end of season or not? I think, yup.

If he is Mr. Glass, does that make Savard Bruce Willis?

Murray comes in for Connauton. Tyutin still out.

Of all the defenders to scratch....wtf?

Interested I guess to see what the PP unit looks like. #1 had been Foligno & Hartnell up front, with RyJo and Wennberg serving as "half points" along the boards and Connauton at the middle point. 2nd unit has been JJ/Savard with Atkinson/Dubinsky/Jenner up front. Maybe they'll audition Murray more on the PP? Or Goloubef?

They are two larger, slow defensemen and I thought they both have struggled at times with faster forwards. I figured Falk would get scratched and they'd go Murray-Prout and Connauton-Goloubef (or flip the lefties, doesn't really matter).

This will be the last game that my girlfriend and I are able to attend this year... hoping for a good showing.

Don't like seeing Connauton being taken out of the lineup... he's been a +4 in the last two games and has been one of our better defenders lately. Murray draws in... has 2 goals, 1 assist in 4 career games against Toronto.

Feel like Dubi will have a big game... 15 points in 21 career games against the Leafs.

Btw, tale of the two goalies.

Career stats against the opposing team:

Sergei Bobrovsky:
8 Games against the Leafs- 6-2-0, 2.01 GAA, .922 sv %

James Reimer
2 Games against CBJ- 0-2-0, 4.37 GAA, .852 save %.

I'm assuming the half hour later start is for Canadian national TV (Sportsnet).

Is that Stinger gargoyle a photoshop? If not, where is it (I'm guessing the arena)?

Me too. Now if we could just lose the next 3 I might be more excited. I would like to see Buffalo's tank season fall apart and the Nassau Coliseum go out in style. Might as well protect that 8th spot in the draft.

And please hockey gods, keep Murray safe.

Dude, losing out only gets us #7. We're going to be at 8 or 9 regardless. Just play the games, send the fans out with a pair of wins. You're talking 6% or 5% at 8 and 9.

Peeped at the Leafs GDT, saw two posts on the first page that said this game will be an easy win for them, instantly closed the tab. I know we were bad for a bit, but an easy win for GD Toronto, who is currently tanking? We're 9-0-1 in the last 10 with wins AT Chicago, St. Louis, and Vancouver, wins at home against Anaheim, NYI, and Pittsburgh, and an OT loss on a bad luck goal AT the Rangers. The only "easy" teams we've played in that streak were Edmonton and New Jersey. Come on...

I think that's just a couple people being usual suspects. The rest of the GDT is dedicated to tanking and how the author has a lifetime .188 record when he makes the GDT.

Yo, dude, your response makes no sense. If we are going to be 8 or 9 regardless then how does losing out get us 7? :dunno:

And it is not just about the % chance of winning the lottery - its having one or two more guys to chose from. We have already proved we are a good team when healthy. As always (this season) I'd rather have the best draft spot available. And it also affects the 2nd round pick as well.

You forgot how it effects the 3rd round as well :sarcasm:

Because Buffalo and Toronto are actually trying to lose and we play them both this week.

I could understand cheering for losing if McEichel were in reach, or even a top 4 placement. #8 or #9? Who gives a ****? It's a deep draft and they'll get an impact player at either spot. Werenski or Provorov seem to be the odds on favorites right now, and you can't really go wrong with either.

Losing to Toronto and/or Buffalo will be terrible, send the team and fans into the offseason with bad vibes, etc. I fully expect we'll lose to the Islanders in their last regular season game at Nassau. So you can cheer for losing and enjoy that game.

Well if we are getting technical it does Affect the 3rd round as well as all others but I think it could be a more significant factor in Rd 2.
