If you win Friday, we clinch 30th, then we can start cheering for our team to win again, just in time for the last game of the season, at home. That last game's a potential playoff spoiler* for the slipping Penguins, and our preventing them from making the playoffs would delight just about everyone.

At that point, we can peacefully go our separate ways.

Because Buffalo and Toronto are actually trying to lose and we play them both this week.

I could understand cheering for losing if McEichel were in reach, or even a top 4 placement. #8 or #9? Who gives a ****? It's a deep draft and they'll get an impact player at either spot. Werenski or Provorov seem to be the odds on favorites right now, and you can't really go wrong with either.

Losing to Toronto and/or Buffalo will be terrible, send the team and fans into the offseason with bad vibes, etc. I fully expect we'll lose to the Islanders in their last regular season game at Nassau. So you can cheer for losing and enjoy that game.

Yeah they aren't not good...but the next team who bothers to take them seriously will be the first. It took a miracle from Toews scoring 2 in the final 1:50 to lose to chicago.

I'm with you on this one. I normally don't think too much about watching games this late in the season when we're so far out of it. I kind of think, yeah, I'll watch the game if I'm not doing anything else. But this season I'm still looking forward to seeing the games even though we're out of it. Reminds me of the stretch in '13 where the games were exciting up to the last one. (granted, we also had a shot at making the playoffs).
