Because Buffalo and Toronto are actually trying to lose and we play them both this week.
I could understand cheering for losing if McEichel were in reach, or even a top 4 placement. #8 or #9? Who gives a ****? It's a deep draft and they'll get an impact player at either spot. Werenski or Provorov seem to be the odds on favorites right now, and you can't really go wrong with either.
Losing to Toronto and/or Buffalo will be terrible, send the team and fans into the offseason with bad vibes, etc. I fully expect we'll lose to the Islanders in their last regular season game at Nassau. So you can cheer for losing and enjoy that game.
We wish buffalo was trying to lose. Ted nolan is trying to win his final games before being fired and desperate to screw the city out of last place.
Your only wins in the last 10 games are Carolina, Toronto, and Arizona. It's not like the Sabres are 9-0-1 over the last 10.

I hope we win out. I feel better when we win and it isn't like our franchise hinges on getting McDavid. We are going to be good regardless.
Sigh... Jackets not on U-verse for the Reds game and the Cavs pre-game.
