You can tell how many people here have been watching the Bruins and how many people like to have opinions about things they are low information about.

I watched the Bruins get severely outplayed by an injury-weakened Blues team a couple days ago. I was shocked by how bad they looked.

As a fanbase the Avalanche have seen a lot of shit over the past ~20 years but I don't think anything gives us as much PTSD as Joe Sacco. Good luck lads, you're going to need it.

You should have seen the two games against Utah and Nashville. May have been the worst 2 games I’ve ever seen them play. Like ever. Looked like they were playing hockey with ringette sticks. Absolutely brutal.

I didn’t get why they fired Cassidy.

Bruins held on longer than they should due to some excellent goaltending. It’s going very much the other way this year.
They fired Bruce because the players turned on him (especially Debrusk and McAvoy, and Krejci had already taken a year off and was only enticed back by a new coach).

We're starting to see that the problem isn't just the coach, it's the core.

The game against Ottawa where they put up zero shots in the third period and lost in OT was it for me.

How do you register zero shots in a period, especially the third period of a tie game?

If you ask me, this firing alone is what closed the window for the Bruins.

I don't think Montgomery will be unemployed any longer. I don't think Montgomery should've been fired as he basically not only gave them their best record, but had this team going in the right direction for what should be a Wild Card phase. I don't expect the Bruins to head to a rebuild phase now for the next 3-5 seasons.

I think Anaheim jumps the gun and hires Montgomery.

Eh, it had holes in it and that 22-23 Bruins roster was great. I'm not sure even last year's Bruins roster was much worse than the Rangers 21-22 roster if at all.
I mean, Shesterkin papers over a lot of holes. The core of that roster went back to a ECF with Laviolette.

Let's be real. Monty is still the coach if Swayman wasn't garbage.

Firing Montgomery doesnt change the fact their roster is super mid and guys like McAvoy and Carlo have regressed badly

Elias Lindholm also looks completely washed
Sometimes ( most of the time) when a team/ players are under performing the coaching change is the move to make.
Caps fans love the change they made.
Panther fans loved the change ofcoaches.
Knights fans too.
Leafs fans seem very pleased with Berube over Keefe.

New flash.....a coach doesn't have to suck ass for 5 years and over 400 games before you let him go......Pens fans wish ownership woukd wake up to that fact.
Monty is a decent coach and will be coaching again somewhere. He will benefit from some other GM who's not afraid to pull the trigger.

When every single skater on the roster…every single one…EVERY SINGLE ONE…is dramatically underperforming you gotta make the move.

Hampus wasn’t underperforming. Kastelic was overperforming. Brazeau wasn’t underperforming. Sure it’s nitpicking but you repeated it three times!

Let’s be real the biggest underperformance by far is Swayman and I don’t know how you blame the coach for that.
