Congratulations, and thank you, to the Columbus Blue Jackets Hockey Club. Heart-poundingest 3-1 (2-1) victory I've ever witnessed. Hats off to Dallas for turning the amps up to eleven the last 27 minutes.

Now it's time to catch the Philly Masoceks for the right to face the New York Nashards. :handclap:

Thank you, Blue Jackets. This means a lot to me.

<3,

Your average pile of fan that's never been on ice or ice skates.

I love this team. Easily the most likable group of athletes that have played for any of my favorite teams.

I want this team to do something in the playoffs. I don't want this to end. These guys are too much fun.

With Bishop out for Tampa and a game against the Panthers, it's not outrageous that we win out.

I think McElhinney should get a start, too.

Seriously who would have thought. This team finish dead last... DEAD LAST. just TWO years ago. And by dead last, they were 9 points from second to last. NINE points. That's 4.5 games. Unbelievable. If you told me that offseason that it would only take two years to get back in I would have called you crazy. Through all the BS we went through with Carter with Mason and most of all with Nash. This one feels good. I love it, couldn't think of a better team to get in. I look forward to being in playoff GDT's with you guys and gals. I wasn't around in 08-09, but I sure as hell will be around this time. Lets do it. March on

Now that we won: there is absolutely NO doubt in my mind they play McElhinney in one of these Florida games. Which one? And do you play him in both? I may play Mac in both.

If Philly loses to Tampa Bay, I say we start Bob Saturday and Mac on Sunday if we can't catch Philly.
If Philly beats Tampa Bay, we can start Mac on Saturday and see if we still have a chance of catching Philly on Sunday. In which case we'd start Bob against Florida.

Was sitting in the lower bowl tonight and had a tap on my shoulder, someone said "Excuse me, Mr. Umberger" (referring to my jersey), I turned around to see John McConnell, I couldn't believe it - he thanked me for being a fan and we made some small talk. Was an awesome moment that I appreciated him taking the time to do!

Thought i'd share!

You need to know some goalie psychology to answer that question, and that is above my pay grade.

Relevant factors: Bob is playing his best hockey of the year; Bob can play hot over extended consecutive game streaks; the playoffs are too long; you want Bob to carry over the intensity of the past week into the playoffs, not the letdown of the next two games; etc...

Good to know that owner is traveling with the team and talks to the fans. I thought he doesn't really care about hockey.
