Too easy to defend in large part because there are too many guys who aren't remotely physical threats. The chance Zibs or Kreider pastes you is f***ing zero so you can turn your back to them and protect the puck without fear.

That Reaves hits 7 guys a game doesnt matter, they're expecting it. They scored the Fox goal last night because Fox skated through someone and they almost died of shock.

I mean it’s essentially this. The Rangers do the same thing every PP, every game, and it works or doesn’t. You watch other PP’s - not sure where they rank compared to ours - but you watch Minnesota or Colorado and the players have the chemistry, awareness and ambition to constantly be riffing and improving. Kaprizov and Zuccarello. MacKinnon, Rantanen, Landeskog, Nichushkin, Makar. They all rotate, there isn’t an obvious plan as much as there is fluid puck movement and pulling opponents out of position to create something.

Taking this further... the operative word is AMBITION

This team just looks like they EXPECT teams to allow things when they do X, Y, Z
