the canucks had to chances to close it out and they got outscored 10-2 in those games.

Every game they did win were 1 goal margins. The games we won were beat downs. Highest goal differential in Cup history, and their vaunted PP was a minus 2, we scored 3 shorties to their 1 PP goal.

Well that's pretty horrendous. Of course, I don't think the Bruins' power play was much to sneeze at either.

Didn't need to be. Unlike the Canucks, who couldn't win without theirs.

True. As you said, the PK took care of business. I guess you could say the PK was actually the PP for the Bruins.

No, they have a veeeeeeeeery small chance, but they were pretty much out already. They could get 92 points. But either Ottawa or Toronto needs to lose 5 games in regulation, and Philly needs to win all games. Oh, and Tampa, Islanders and Hurricanes have to get fewer points in one more game as well.

Thanks. When I was 10, I could figure out the playoffs no sweat. Now, not so much.

Thank God they broke the winless without Hayes streak.

I was calling for a starting goaltender change after that 4th straight loss, but it's Rask's net to tend to again with the way he's rebounded. It's good to see both guys playing well.

Great win! I didn't get to see the game, but it's great to see them nab these 2 pts. Saw the highlights though. Looks like Doby came up huge. And that KMiller snipe!

Both goalies coming up big this weekend to put the team in the driver's seat down the stretch. Great to see! :handclap:

How lucky are the B's to have both net minders playing well. Let's cheer on both of them !

I agree - it seems so simple to me. Both Rask and Khudobin had issues earlier this year. Sometimes, they had stretches of downright awful games. We had a huuuuuge stretch of games where no backup goaltenders won a game in regulation.

Now, they're both reaching a peak. If there's a time to peak - this is pretty darn close to the time! I don't get the call to "play Khudobin until he loses" from late March. Yes, the 6-3 loss to Tampa was horrible - inexcusable. But we're at the point where we can't afford to lose too many games.

You play your best man in goal, and for us, that's Rask...with the typical "backup goalie" exceptions of A) Back-to-backs, B) Starter really needs rest, C) Starter injured, D) Backup needs to be "reheated" (ie hasn't played in 2 weeks).

That said, I think/hope today was Khudobin's last game this year. Hopefully he's as good next year as he was the latter part of this year. I could see McIntyre getting a peek in early 2018, but I'd like him to have a little more time to develop.

Nope . The B's were short Marc Savard and Horton.

The Nucks were mentally weak. The B's were the better team.

Those two players were better than the best of the Canucks.

The Nucks are still mentally weak.

You are so right Ladyfan!
