Where are the people a couple weeks ago who were claiming the team was wanting to lose and didn't care about making the playoffs?

Really impressed with the boys for not letting that losing streak get in their heads too much and bounced back. Also was impressed with their stopping Chicago today in the final minute. That was some serious intensity around the net.

In all honesty I wouldn't be against that. But I'm fine with Colin. And I don't have an issue with Liles either.

As the 6th D-man those options are fine. People keep ****ing about Liles and Colin, but they are just as capable as the 6th D-man for the vast majority of teams.

Another Huge, Huge, Huge win, I think most would have been happy getting even a single pint today, but getting the win with our Back up goalie playing the backend of back to back days in Chicago, this is definitely a big boost to our playoff hopes. Khudobin was unreal, he is under Cassidy playing like the guy we wanted at the start of the season. K Miller with a beauty goal, looked like a sniper on that one.

Bad time to be losing all your D. With Methot and Karlsson out and I heard they lost Ceci too last night. Which is great for us so I'll take it.

Word is Karlsson's injury is not serious and there is a good chance he returns next game.

Still, having 2 of your Top 4 guys go down doesn't help.

There will be plenty of upset people when K.Miller is protected in the expansion draft over C.Miller.

I don't know about that , C Miller gets his fair share of hate on this board and is usually well deserved!
Today against the Hawks he was very slow decision wise and then made absolute bonehead passes / moves. Probably why he didn't play much after the dumb penalty he took.
Other than the goal K Miller had some questionable plays also!

agreed. the issue with the D isn't the guy who's playing at #6, its that there is a #1, two 3-4 guys and about seven #6s.

Yeah, there are some guys I don't ever think I'll see as quitters... Chara, Bergeron, Marchand, Krug, McQuaid, for starters.

My playoff game nerves were in full effect in the third period though!

Tavares out for the season, think it would be a miracle if the Isles made it. It's a shame, I can respect that team more than others that will likely be in.

Dobby Dobby Do sure did! What a clutch performance in being the difference maker.

The jump they showed in the first period set it all up. The gas left in the tank was depleted from that point on. The effect of a back to back coupled with travel. Gutted it out in the end for the win.

Banker doesn't care how it happens just as long as you make a deposit. Not sure he expected two big ones today!

Next!

Things looked pretty bleak for the Bruins just over a week ago, but then Dobby had that monster game against the Islanders to help stop a 4 game losing skid, and the B's have gained confidence ever since, with timely goals and great goaltending from both goalies.

If the B's would've lost that game, we may well have witnessed a 3rd consecutive huge collapse this season, but it never happened thanks to that big win last Saturday against NYI.

I tip my cap to Anton Khudobin who has played lights out since Claude left the Bruins, and has given the boys some much needed confidence when Rask needed a rest or has not been able to play.

Thanks Dobby. IMO, you helped this team get back on track just when they needed it most....and you played one helluva game again today!

Now Bruins, go out and beat the Lightning on Tuesday, so we can punch our ticket into the 2017 NHL playoffs!

It will still be hard to stay in the Atlantic Bracket for the playoffs

If Boston goes 2-1-0 to finish at 96 points

We'd need 1 of Toronto or Ottawa to Finish the season at best 2-2-1 to stay in the Atlantic

What a way to wake up on a Monday morning! After yesterdays 3am game I had to sit this one out and sleep, I wish I chose this game over yesterdays  So happy, I expected an absolute belting today with a fresh Hawks team. Cant wait to watch the game after work, I hear Kuraly had a good game too? Lets knock Tampa into oblivion on Tuesday! Stamkos will be playing but who cares, lets get it!

Bruins last games.

TBL W
OTT W
WSH L

I think its within reason to say we win 2 out of those 3. That leave's us on 96 points, ideally we'll win all 3 so we can finish second in Atlantic.

Toronto's run to the line.

BUF W
WSH L
TBL L
PIT L
CBJ W

No means an easy task. Can easily see them dropping 3 of those.

Ottawa's run to the line.

DET W
DET L
BOS L
NYR L
NYI W

Im hoping we can at least beat them once this season. Can't rely on Detroit but they played well yesterday abd are saying bye to the Joe so you know they'll fight tooth and nail. Rags should beat them, Islanders probably won't.

That's how I see things anyway

last thing I anticipated was a Bruins win today, Doby with the exact effort the B`s needed, some timely scoring, especially from K Miller the sniper

Bring on the Bolts

what a great ****ing win

Anton...all praise be to Anton, 39 saves!! crazy

big respect to K.Miller and Mcquaid too (played a huge 23 minutes). They are both showing just how important they are to this team in holding leads.

That 3rd period win loss ratio is insane when we have a lead.

WOOOOOO

nice to see Spooner get back to scoring, we could use his confidence going up at this point of the season

He got to 40 points..and I think that's just what he is. Top 9 player, needs talent on his line otherwise things fall apart quick if he is running the line. PP Specialist, speed. 18 of his 40 points are on the PP...that's huge.

Sadly he still has some real major warts in his overall game that he needs to continue to really work on. I havent really been happy with his game this season even though he has had a carousel of terrible linemates. I want him to be better.

But overall...I think that's just what he is. I don't see him as a strong enough player to be top 6 but can still be a hidden down the depth chart sneaky skilled guy. Just gotta stay confident and skate.

There is often debate on this site about a goalie "stealing a game". Some posters are pretty liberal with the phrase. Today was a clear example of stealing a game by Dobby.

Kuraly had more ice time than Spooner, Stafford or Belesky.

Moore, Nash and Acciari had more ice time than Krejci & Pasta.

Great game by the Bruins, especially by Khudobin. The guy has been stellar the last games he has played, totally different player since Cassidy took over.

I'm surprised they haven't changed that goal to Chara. Pretty sure I read that Spooner came back to the bench and said he never touched the puck.

Then again, maybe Chara just let him have it.
