We won't be playing them again until next year.Ducks may be without Gibson and Fowler now too.

Yes very well could be a factor if that's the case. All comes down to the Avs in the end. Win the hockey games, make the playoffs. Lose them and you don't. Just that simple.Ducks may be without Gibson and Fowler now too.
I really don't see how this team beats LA tomorrow and I don't see how the Blues loose to Chicago. We needed the 2 points tonight. Now we'll probably miss by 1 point and it'll hurt even worse. Mack forcing the play, Rants constantly falling, Landeskog's wild passes and Barrie regressing to a shin pads seeking, weak board play, bad decision making idiot. Has cost us our season. Hopefully next year we make the leap.
This year hurts really, really bad though.
We won't be playing them again until next year.
I don’t understand. We won't be playing them again until next year.
Expect their top players not to get a lot of ice time and trying not to get hurt. Even easier game for the Blues than the Hawks.Terrible ending but the season is not over. Don’t love that the Caps clinched the Metro tonight though. They could come out with less urgency tomorrow.
It mainly hurts because of how well we were playing just a few weeks a go. Now all of our stars are just buckling under the pressure. I know they're young, but watching that potential just dry up right before the promised land sucks. You shouldnt be hurt especially if you consider that we shouldnt even be in the position we are currently after last season. Missing the playoffs would suck because we are so close but I dont feel hurt. These guys playing important games this late is kinda like a pseudo playoffs for me especially when my expectations for them this season was very low.
The Blues will win. I dont doubt that. If we can get a point tmmrw I will consider that a win.I think tomorrow will be telling for the Blues. To see how they come out against the Caps after getting absolutely destroyed by the Coyotes.
Not necessarily win or lose since the Caps are a really good team, but whether they come out flying and look good or if they come out flat and look defeated.
I fully expect them to win all 3. Holtby has be awful lately, and Chicago is just bad.Exactly, they lost to ARI, major wake up call, they'll come out guns blazing tomorrow vs WSH, who clinched the division tonight and will probably be hung over tomorrow. Then 2 vs CHI. I'm not holding my breath they falter
But if we are all honest here did we really think we would be in this spot after last season? I for sure didn't
No goals in 7 games now.MacKinnon hasn't been at his best lately but he's the reason the Avs are in this position to begin with. I won't put it on him if he can't finish the job and drag this team to the playoffs.
Cant just change the point system because it doesnt favor you in this one instance...Point system needs to change to the IIHF way. Ducks have made it to OT in 22 games this season... that's like once a week.
It doesn't make any of us bad fans that we're disappointed.I see a lot of people saying things like "relax, look how far we've come since last year". I'm aware of that, but life is all relative. I'm not just going to roll over and be okay with almost making the playoffs because they were awful last year. The Avs are right there, in a playoff spot currently. I know they had a bad period over the last few years but right now we're on the cusp of playoff hockey and nothing in the past matters to me. I want to see playoff hockey and I'm incredibly let down that they just had a 2 goal lead with 10 minutes left and ended up losing the game. I don't think that makes me a bad fan.

All that says is Ducks know how to turn it on late which is what we saw tonight
And the Soda line also can't score anymore it seems. No goals in 7 games now.
2 points in his last two games, with the Avs picking up 3/4 points. As fans, we were spoiled by the level he was playing at for almost a whole season.MacKinnon hasn't been at his best lately but he's the reason the Avs are in this position to begin with. I won't put it on him if he can't finish the job and drag this team to the playoffs.
