Varly and EJ really was a death sentence. Barrie looks like trash and Bernie should've stopped the first and OT goals. I don't see the blues loosing to Chicago.

I have less confidence in St Louis than I do in Colorado right now. They have been winning in crazy comebacks and have a ton of injuries. Arizona destroyed then yesterday. It wasn't even close. It should have been 11-0

They're done... The top line isn't doing shit, and at this point I'd rather have the draft pick.
The top line has let us down in the most crucial part of the season. Props to Jost, and the secondary scoring, but the more experienced teams are going to make the playoffs.
Get some better currency, try hard to get another player for that second line, and see if the lower half of the roster can take another step.
To blow a two goal lead, and then lose in OT. Sorry but the writing is on the wall IMO.

Bednar needs to stop taking the foot off the gas so early in games. I get playing defensive hockey, but when you basically have the other team on the ropes and can bury them, you can't just go prevent hockey, especially against a vet team like the Ducks. I give the man credit for this years turn around, but it does not take a genus to see that the team is just not strong enough to hold long leads in a game if you try to play prevent hockey.
Mr. BigGamePlayer doesn't realize that you have to play hard to get to the big games. MacK has had a huge turnaround season and has established himself as our franchise player. This slump he's going through at the end of the season hurts something else. I know it's a lot of bad luck too but he's just not playing like he was 10 games ago...

Felt like Game 7 against Minnesota where we blew lead after lead. Good teams know how to close out games, as miserable as it is looks like we have to be patient with this team.
They didn't even sit back that much in the 3rd IMO. Bernier should've had at least one of those goals, he literally knocked the puck right back into the slot.

Mackinnon doesn't stop playing hockey two weeks ago and we probably don't worry about singular plays like a bad rebound at this point if the season.
It's harsh to put so much hate on a guy who is basically the reason we're playing meaningful hockey at this point if the year. But Nathan Mackinnon is playing like trash right now.

I'm sorry, I know we are back in a Playoff spot (for the moment). I'm just in major disbelief on how they could have blown that. I am proud of this team no matter what happens. MacKinnon has been fabulous this year and maybe I got a little spoiled expecting him to put up 3 points a night.

MacKinnon has been fantastic all season but the last ~2 weeks, he's looked like 2014-2017 Nathan MacKinnon again and that player is just ok.
It's unfair to pin almost all, if not all of this team's success, on him but that's the realization with 4, now 3 games left. He had an awful game today, and going up against Kopitar tomorrow I expect the exact same outcome.

Yup thats the one. Bernier catches that or even deflects it in the corner somehow and we be fine.
The line got mentally broken by Vegas in the second game, their passing and confidence has been shot since then. He also has played prohibitively worse since Gudas got in that "accidental" hit after the whistle on him early in the Philly game.

Am I missing something? Why does this spell the end of the season? Blues have a tough week. This isn't going to be settled until Saturday in Denver.
