Serious questions ......how common is a first period hat trick and is there a name for it ?

I just don't even really know what the islanders were doing...they have some talent on that team, they have some good players, but going all in on over the hill vets so that they have to run an extremely defensive system because they didn't actually compliment the young talent they have...it's just crap what Lou has done with that team, just crap. People talk about "oh they made it to the conference finals" well it was a covid shortened year and over a full season you're not going to be able to keep performing at the level needed, plus their old guys another year older doesn't help

with some smart moves they could be a lot more dangerous than they are

They also underestimated how much Eberle and Leddy meant to their team and losing them changed their whole dynamic.

All this because of you, Zibby. That's right, it's because of you.

Tune in just in time to see this asshole score and that asshole be out of position as usual.

Went all-in on defensive hockey when the league got faster, more skilled, and just a bit more diluted.

They're still capable of frustrating teams and clamping down, especially with a lead, but if they don't strike first, they struggle to catch up.

Their goaltending deserves some credit--Sorokin's stats especially are surprising given the Islanders' position in the standings.

Also overpaid to keep their 4th line.
