Cool.

I saw Pat Travers last year down in Tucson. He put on a great show.

Before I left Phx last weekend, I also got to see (again, seen him a few now ) Colin James play a sleeper show at the Musical Instrument Museum in north Phx. He’s another Canadian treasure, such a great blues guitarist. It was a small but very modern theatre venue. Probably 350 peeps for a full house.

My place was not far from there (the MIM). Never went though even though we were there 15 years. Had lots of friends visit it when they used our place and they all said it was cool.

Just to get ahead of it - teams missing their #1, #2, and #3 C's, their #1D man, their starting goalie, and 2 top 9 wingers will struggle to look good, and struggle to win. This isn't an indication of the quality of the team, the quality of the coach, and doesn't mean that McDavid is going to want out.

It's all ok.

8:22 PM puck drop on top of it. Sold my tickets a month ago for this one - glad I did.

It was my first journey there too. It seems to sell out fast for shows to subscribers etc because it’s so small. I’m going back sometime to lose myself in the museum. I love museums, Mrs Brent? Not so much, so might be a solo trip and then a cold one over at the Backyard at DesertRidge or maybe she goes shopping and I go to MIM and we meet back for a margarita. Win-win for everyone.

Assuming we get a powerplay? :sarcasm:

Seems we've been getting plenty in games that neither McDavid or Draisaitl play (granted probably should have had even more Monday).

4.4 per game with neither
2.5 per game with both
2.2 per game with only one or the other

Sample size is naturually a factor, but somehow we're supposed to believe that the quality of Edmonton PP with them in the lineup isn't an influence on why they get less calls.

Edmonton has had 4 or more powerplays 20 times in 77 games this year. Somehow, 6 of those occured in the nine games McDavid missed and 4 of which in the 5 games they both missed.

With Nuge also being out we might get 10 powerplays tonight so that the refs can point at the totals at the end of the year and say, "see... look".

Ricco Sauve, he got this.

I'm jk but who knows.

I guess this saves Kapanen from healthy scratch.

Lets see its probably Henrique, Jan, and Kap show at Center. Should be interesting.

I kinda like games like this in a way. We shouldn’t win, but if we do it’d be pretty satisfying.

Rest the big guns and get some extra ice for the rest of the team.

need Calgary to lose cause we won't be winning much in order to get in
The Oilers are not missing the playoffs, this is silly.
Technically they could but they play the Sharks twice and the Flames play the Wild, Kings and Knights, plus McDavid and Draisaitl aren't out the rest of the regular season so if needed one or both will come back to finish it off.

We basically need 1 win to lock up a playoff spot. Settle down people the sky isn't falling. We are resting the big guns. If we came into a must win game u know they are dressing.

Just saw the news that Nuge is out too. If they score a single goal tonight it will be a miracle.

What an odd team that is. Few times I watch them they look like nothing and their top players aren't up to much. Its almost as if theres only 6-7 actually good clubs in the East and that Ottawa and Montreal are winning WC consolation prizes because nobody else bought a ticket..

Theres current run kinda reminds me of the Canucks last year. They have some good players but just running on PDO.

I'm not saying they're missing the playoffs, but they have 1 win without them in the line-up...so the way they get in is Calgary losing a couple points because the Oilers won't find many wins the rest of the way

I got on Nuge pretty good lately, but I humbly back off now after hearing he caught the plague as well. This thing is a real doozy. Both my wife and I got it while down in Mexico and it knocked the shit out of us for 2 solid weeks. Still feeling some after effects and reverberations. Never had anything like it before, even Covid. Poor Ekholm has had a tough time dealing with it, and I'd put dollars to donuts that McDavid has had it too.
