Just crush Holloway every chance you get assuming he is playing. Would be considered a win for me!

Cool.

I saw Pat Travers last year down in Tucson. He put on a great show.

Before I left Phx last weekend, I also got to see (again, seen him a few now ) Colin James play a sleeper show at the Musical Instrument Museum in north Phx. He’s another Canadian treasure, such a great blues guitarist. It was a small but very modern theatre venue. Probably 350 peeps for a full house.

The Sens have clinched a playoff spot... and the Oilers haven't.

Well east is weaker, at least at the bottom.

But not a strong year from the Oilers. No reason this team shouldn’t of finished first in the division even with the offseason they had. Although they probably would’ve if they upgraded their goaltending and goaltending coach even without the other upgrades.

A very disappointing year, given the offseason forecasts predicting us to finish first and win the Cup.
When they traded their 2025 1st round draft pick for Philly's pick last draft I'm sure they expected it to be a in the 28+ range. Good thing we like Sam O'Reilly so far.

We can still win the Cup, and all is forgiven:)
And I do believe the team has had a mentality that the regular season doesn't matter. Expecting them to be rested up and ready to step up another gear come playoffs.

Honestly we played pretty well last game. It might be a good sign going into playoffs. If the Big boys are healthy.

With the injuries we have I expected us to play worse

Since the rotation of one or both of 97 and 29 being out at the same or different times started, the only game I would describe as bad was the one in Seattle and that was largely schedule induced.

Being a middling, mediocre at best team without the #1C, the 2nd #1C, the #1D, the starting goalie is about the best anyone should reasonably expect. They're competing, but have talent gaps that make winning games hard.

There is no team in the league that is going to have players in those positions in their lineup out and not be at the very best ~.500. Expecting more isn't reasonable.

This may be exactly what we needed to wake everyone the fucc up before the playoffs.

Too many passengers this year and now they are forced to "play hard"

The biggest thing right now is hoping are injured players come back 100 percent

oh I agree...but that was against the lowly Ducks, Blues are a different animal
they've won 1 game without McDrai in the lineup...they have lots of try but little finish

Same thing is happening to Florida. They fell from top of their division to fourth. Poor slide lately.
But they didn't become a bad team overnight, just dealing with a bunch of injuries, resting players for the playoffs.

Yeah, outside of the Seattle clunker which was a travel and scheduling nightmare, I thought the group has played pretty well considering all the injuries.

I'm not very bullish on their Cup chances but I think what will work in their favor compared to past years is that the stars will be well rested and refreshed going into the playoffs. I felt like they were running on fumes a bit the last two playoff runs and kind of slowed down in the later series and Drai's injuries of course, they might well be more refreshed this season if they make a longer run.

Say what you want about probabilities, the depth treading water, etc etc., but it would be really nice if they could squeak out a win here and clinch a playoff spot. At this point, if they could do that, maybe it buys an extra game or two of rest for McDavid and Draisaitl. Would suck to bring them back early for games against San Jose because the team still hasn't clinched.
