For the record, hockey is very important to me and I spend a lot of time being a fan. I do everything that a huge hockey fan does, and so do friends of mine. It's sad to be generalized as a fanbase that doesn't know what icing is, or what offsides means, etc..because we have a lot of people here who do care, just saying.

Don't worry. We are a pretty crazy bunch who often loves to just go after each other so when a fan from a different fanbase comes on our board....it's like fresh meat for us....;) As far as "generalizing" fans and their fanbase, well go on the main board....it's not solely a Habs fanbase thing.....

Can't wait to see what kind of 1st round it will be with our two teams.

Well it's typically against the rules for Habs fans to wander off to competing GDTs. Nothing against you personally but it's a double-standard then, because usually we get shot down immediately for "trolling if we post anywhere else.

Well it really depends on the situation, there are a lot of Habs fans posting on Tampa's GDT right now. But we wouldn't be allowed to do the same in a game against Boston for example.

...well, usually when we wander off, we are trolling, just to be fair...

Yeah man sorry I was surprised by the reaction of the crowd thats all
Sorry for calling you a name.
I remember having a coworker who was making fun of the coyotes fanbase, because ''they knew nothing about hockey''. Every fanbase has his idiots.

PS: Nice reference to MLP. I love the avatar.

Just saw your avatar. A fellow bronie?

Thanks guys, yeah is is. I thought it looked cool because it gave a new aspect to the team logo without being standard.

Anyways Good luck and I'll be going.

The goalie was nowhere near him. If the priced moved into him and tried to make the save THEN it's interference and a penalty. That's the rule. How do you "interfere" if you're not even touching the goalie?

Interference on the Goalkeeper
[...]Goals should be disallowed only if: (1) an attacking player, EITHER BY HIS POSITIONING or by contact, impairs the goalkeeper’s ability to move freely within his crease or defend his goal;

Come back when you learn the rules.

I'm just gonna go ahead and tell you guys that your constant Chris Lee whining is embarrassing! If it was any other ref making a bad call, you would just complain that the reffing was bad that game. But whenever it's Chris Lee who makes the call, you whine about him for ten minute and make his reputation even worse, for you to complain about more next time at the slightest hint of a bad call.

Calls go both ways! Leave it alone and root for the Habs without scapegoating a referee!

The call is good 'cause it's "Positioning or contact". In Brown's case, it's positioning. 2 skates in the paint prior to the puck coming in. And he's right in Price's pants. I mean, they should always call it. But it's nto because they don't call it the right way that it makes that call a bad one.

Oh look, more controversy in a Chris Lee game.

I would be furious with the call on filpulla, but cmon, the instant I saw that play at the end of the 2nd, I called interference. You can go into the crease, but be mindful that if you in the crease, and impeding the goalie's chance of utilizing his crease, then it has go be called off.... Not to mention that he even had contact with price.

If you don't like that play, well, let's just get rid of the crease and see what happens. You won't like it.

Its fine depending of what you say. Just dont go on the Bruins board. Thats like asking for an infraction.

Calgary has so little scoring talent that even if they had a bit more they'd be winning this game. Toronto is horribad in their own zone, it's frightening.

To be honest, if I wanted to use a cartoon character mean to represent athletic performance and competitive spirit, Rainbow Dash is a damn good choice.

The fact that it fits well with your team's logo is just awesome.

Price wasn't able to challenge more because of the guy in the crease. There doesn't need to be contact. Think about the times a goal is scored with a body inside the net and not touching the goaltender. If you are in the crease and are in the way of the goaltender it is no goal. Its very simple, and this was very clear.

It's very clear that he's not hindering movement, but he's potentially hindering movement. There's a huge difference. If Price tries to move where the attacking player is standing, it's interference. He was obstructing Price's view, not his movement because Price didn't try to use the space he was standing in, and screening is perfectly legal.

The goalie was nowhere near him. If the priced moved into him and tried to make the save THEN it's interference and a penalty. That's the rule. How do you "interfere" if you're not even touching the goalie?

This guy gets it.
