Which means that you can be in the crease on the side and nobody will care. He wasn't in that case. Was right in front of Price, Price couldn't use his whole blue paint to challenge the shooter. Problem isn't that call. It's that referees are way too inconsistent to always call it.

I'd have to watch the replay again but I didn't see Price being stopped from properly challenging the shot.

The bolded part is the key. If the refs thought it looked like Price pulled up a bit in reaction to where the obstacle was in his crease, and think it interfered with his ability to follow through on challenging that shot - even though contact technically came after the puck went through - I guess it's the right call. I actually feel much like hf2k11 when it comes to contact in the crease before the puck goes in being a prerequisite, but the rules don't exactly align with that.

If the Habs should be resting anyone it should be Markov and not Subban.

I was trolling the Leafs GDT vs. the Wings the other night, just because its kind of a guilty pleasure during this whole losing streak, anyway a Detroit fan made a legit comment about one of the plays, and they instantly reacted with a "get out of here Pejorative Slur" or something to that effect....so yeah the Leafs are a bit sensitive right now.
