I mean seriously. How does the Joey Dirty Downshift work every. Single. Time? Surely there's a book by now. With plenty of pages to study from.

I really don't care how he does it though. I love it!

It's a contrast to what other players do. Has to be a little disorienting at first if the goaltender is under/overreacting to dekes.

Golo's been doing well with his ice time - now that I see him being interviewed. He's a good interview.

It's funny because a couple of years ago, I commented that he deked too much and would just run out of space.

Well, something had to give. The dekes weren't going so he skates at half speed now

Also, how often in shootouts in practice does the player skate at a peewee pace towards the goalie?

This is definitely cruel and unusual punishment for fans who wanted to see the CBJ tank and work on their draft positioning (had been battling for #4 spot but now sitting at #8 just two points out of #9 and four points out of #10). But for fans who always want the team to win...this has been a fun ride to end the season!

I am not sorry the negative nellies are disappointed the team is winning but I do have sympathy for them.

They'll be alright. We'll just send them a fruit basket or some flowers or something.

That's a pretty non-nonsensical response from Richards on Dano. He just doesn't have a response for it.

Did you get what you wanted out of it? Uhh... It's just part of the process that we've used for uhh.. all the time... mmm... Hey are those head lights up there? That would explain my blank expression. next...

As a goaltender not having to face that move i love it. A shootout is all about who makes the first move. Almost everybody comes in stick handling like crazy either really fast or really slow trying to come in and getting the goalie to move. Johansens move is all mental, by Joey not making a move AT ALL the goalies mind is racing on what hes going to do, even though they know(now) what hes gonna do. So what Joey is doing is outwaiting the goalie making him make the first move so he can either snipe or dangle. I use to do what Halak did to try to make the player make the first move with that little fake pokecheck, except Joey is way to good and when he went for the actual poke Joey was ready and ripped it by him.

He's crossed into Brady Hoke territory.

Hey, how do you feel about Richards and his scratching of Dano?

I think if Richards goal was not to ice his best team and remove some of our best secondary scoring, I think he succeeded. I'm sure there was something that Richards figured Dano needed to learn. I'm not sure if Richards knows what it was, but he knew there was something that Dano needed to learn.

If Dano doesn't play on Saturday, this will be another time in which Richards randomly punishes young players for reasons we'll never know. Meanwhile other young players can cost us points and stay in the lineup.

Guys why was Dano healthy scratched? Hes lighting it up for me in fantasy? Maybe a minor injury theyre not talking about. Like hes been amazing, so confused?

Anyone here know?

According to Richards it was "part of the process". Just go to sleep realizing Richards is a moron and that it's probably 50/50 that he plays on Saturday. He was very non-committal in the post game. I guess the press box is more beneficial than playing with Letestu and Calvert if they want to see Morin in the top nine.

Interviewing Letestu: "Would you like to play with Dano on your wing?".
Letestu: "Do I need to sell my soul to see this happen?".

The reason Joey always scores in SO's is because he can go backhand, forehand or just shoot. He outwaits goalies. I'd be scared ****less if I was a 'tender and had to face Joey in a shootout.

He's more skilled than Nash, and will put up better numbers. AINEC

How many did we lose by tonight?...Did you ever think maybe Dano did something that was deserving of watching one from up top, like missing a meeting or showing up late? Or have you watched the last few games? He's been pressing a bit and getting frustrated, sometimes it's good for a young player to take a breath and watch one from up top and learn the game from a different perspective. We have the most haters of any team in the league, we won 8 in a row! Maybe Richards knows what he's doing! Good grief
